draft- solid malty sweetness, balanced by a nice citrus hop flavor (cascade). Minimal head, minimal alcohol taste which was nice. Not the best example of the style but drinkable nonetheless. DougShoemaker (3146) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 30, 2007
Cole’s IPA Fest.
Aroma has more malt than hops, deep orange, slim tan head. Taste is orange zest, some fine hops too. Balanced, bitter, sweet, good tongue tingle, abv is hidden. Good. Gotta like the name! mds (2256) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 26, 2007
Growler. Pours a copper-red body with no head. The aroma has orange resin, soap, and grapes. Leafy flavour with notable alcohol and chewy hops. Quite hoppy but not overly bitter. Very drinkable. swoopjones (7020) - Buffalo, New York, USA - JUL 20, 2007

Appearance :Amber gold, smallish top, fizzy head.3-
Aroma:Slightly on alcoholic side , woody gold malt with hop touch , toasted grain behind.
Flavour/Palate: Big with potent alcohol showing, slight earthy. Mid and finish bit shallow. Light vanilla hint. Good.
Growler at Coles IPA Festival. Labeled "Pantius Dropius Imperial IPA." I am going to assume that this is one and the same! Golden dark amber body with a smallish head. Big boozy aroma as it has warmed up a bit, hot caramel, less hops than I would have expected. Flavour starts with boozy toffee and caramel, with light fruity hops. A very bitter finish lingers long into the aftertaste. Surprisingly big finish on a relatively mild flavour profile. Average to medium palate is a bit under carbonated, but the growler had been open for a while. Nice beer. tagz (337) - Alabama, USA - APR 24, 2007
this one’s a little too much for me. i’m down with a good dose of hops but this one’s all bitter. it overwhlems the taste and hangs in the mouth. definitely not a session beer. if you like your brew with a very stong bite it may be worth a try but this one’s not for me. Too strong for my likings. The Indian pale ale was never one of my favorites. Like that deformed annoying cousin at the family reunions you just can’t seem to get away from. shadey (2172) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - OCT 29, 2006
On tap at the brewery. Pour is dark amber with nice rings of white head around the glass. Aroma is rich earthy malt and very bitter hops. Flavor is exceptionaly bitter heavy hops. Not bad but not my style of IIPA. zach8270 (4021) - Henrietta, New York, USA - AUG 26, 2006
(draft @ The Old Toad - Rochester, NY) Deep red in color with a fizzy tan head that goes away quickly. Aroma is loaded with hops, some malts, and alcohol. Some floral notes. Flavor is very floral and hoppy with a nice and smooth sweetness at the end. Alcohol is hidden well but it’s still very warming.
