Dark opaque black brown. Strong bitter dark chocolate. Lighter coffee. Heavier body, fairly clean, effervescent. Good. thedm (6181) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - JAN 13, 2017
This draft brew from the brewery was served at a cool temperature and poured a head of foamy with a frothy top fine to large sized bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind no visible carbonation opaque black brown colored body and a poor lacing. . The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish with a lingering malty aftertaste. The yummy flavor contained notes of roasted malt wood mild hops brown malt and dark malt. Delicious and one I would certainly like to have again. merc7186 (3142) - North Tonawanda, New York, USA - OCT 21, 2013

Pours dark brown/black with a thin mocha head. Aroma coffee, a touch of smoke, some dark fruit, and a hint of bitter dark chocolate. Flavor has some sweet caramel, coffee, smoke, and dark chocolate...just a hint of oak. Mouthfeel is medium and the finish is bitter/burnt roasty and dries with oak. Nice impy thanks to larry the sandwich guy! Lithp (37) - Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 17, 2012
UPDATED: FEB 22, 2012 On tap at EBC.
Poured a dark, opaque color with two fingers of tan head.
Mild aroma of chocolate and vanilla.
First sip, immediate taste of chocolate and a vanilla finish hits your mouth.
As the beer warms up it becomes more and more rough on the finish.
Pretty good stout, may be too rough for those whoa re not used to stouts. KornDogg (570) - Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 28, 2011
Tap at EBC Fredonia. Chocolate, oak barrel aroma. Black body with tan thin head. Chocolate malts balanced with vanilla, strong oak aged flavor...Alcohol is definitely noticeable blipp (9268) - La Mesa, California, USA - JUL 9, 2009
Draft at Coles. Near black with a tan head. The aroma is almost creamy, with molasses, chocolate, and vanilla. The flavor has more molasses and cream, almost like a vanilla custard, as well as lighter notes of roasted/burnt malts. A tad dry in the finish. Not bad. swoopjones (7020) - Buffalo, New York, USA - JUL 8, 2009
