Tap at McCarron airport. Wow this is bad. How can you make an IPA this bad these days?!!! Band-aid and metal aroma. Faint orange. Pours clear light gold with minimal white head that retains a a whiff across the top. Taste is indescribable. Sewer water? Thin. Whoa.

Tap - average size foamy head, light copper color, mild earthy hop aroma and flavor, fair bready malt balance, not bad for $2.50 at an old casino

Draft @ the brewpub. Pours a pale amber color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty weak citrus hoppy aroma. Fruity malty weak citrus hoppy flavor. Has a fruity malty weak citrus hoppy finish.

Village Pub, McCarren Airport. Pale clear gold, white cream. Oh god. Eggy, stale aroma. Sip is ridiculous, this is more like a buttery amber than their actual amber. No hops really, some metallic off bittering by the finish. Body is not bad, almost crisp with nice carb, but the flavors are pretty offputting, at least if I want to think of this as an IPA. Not good.

Hmmmm. Not bad. Not great. Can you imagine the scene, the situation, when that GREATEST BREWER OF ALL TIME, VAL BLATZ HIMSELF got off the boat at Ellis Island??? The revelry? The debauch? The mayhem? Indeed it was so. Or so I am told....or believe. But, I digress. while I welcome this beer to our great land, I cannot believe it will ever supplant the greatness that was brought by that GREAT TEUTONIC ADVENTURER, VAL BLATZ and his self-named ambrosia from the Elysian Fields. Think about it.

(draft @ Ellis Island Casino & Brewery - Las Vegas, NV) Hazy orange pour with a thick white head. Hoppy and dry aroma with hints of come light citrus fruits. Flavor starts off slightly fruity and bitter with a dry and bitter middle and a dry finish. [3/22/16]

Where and how: at brewery (pint)
Aroma mild for style, mild citrus with sweet bottom.
Appearance :
Top: medium lighter cap, white. Lasting.
Base: hazy , amber gold.
Palate : dry, thin with frisky carbonation. Fades quickly. Thin walls.
Taste: felt really watered down like. Very thin malt base with faint citrus hop presence.
other notes half beer for half price.

$2 for a tall was a plus, probably the only one. Sad aroma, acceptable color, disappointing flavor. It’s a casino with a brewery gimmick.

kathouse (1942) - LAS VEGAS, Nevada, USA - AUG 25, 2014
Pale in color and light in body. Lots of vegetation in the flavors. Grass, hay, and dried leaves. Does not get better as it warms. Glad it was only $2
