Can. Pours a hazy golden straw with a thin and sudsy white head. Aromas are kind of yummy... mango, passion fruit and peaches. Flavor is that plus a resiny finish. Damned fine beer. rumproasts (6052) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - OCT 26, 2017
can. lightly hazy golden with one+ finger head. lots of citrus, bordering on juicy. light body. medium bitterness. better than the sum of its parts. really enjoyed this one. drfabulous (9018) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - OCT 14, 2017
16 ounce can thanks to Matt. Solid APA with low malt hops yellow pour lots of citrus. superspak (6385) - Waterford, Michigan, USA - OCT 10, 2017
16 ounce can into tulip glass, no can dating. Pours slightly hazy medium golden yellow color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with amazing retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts. Thick soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas big tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, lemon/orange zest, light pepper/pine, lightly toasted biscuit, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of huge tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, lemon/orange zest, light pepper/pine, lightly toasted biscuit, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, lemon/orange rind, pepper, pine, lightly toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, bready/grainy/sticky, and lightly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6.5%. Overall this is a fantastic American pale ale! All around outstanding complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the modestly bitter/drying finish. Super dank, vibrant, and juicy hops; great balancing bready malt backbone, with minimal residual sweetness. A highly enjoyable offering, and spot on style example. Draft to pint. Looks solid; a transparent gold with eggshell head. Smells of bitter and grassy hops with a moderately bittersweet backbone. Tastes like it smells with a semi-dry medium-bodied mouthfeel. Solid. deyholla (12702) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - APR 8, 2017
On tap at Hopcat A2. Pours a clear yellow gold with a white head that lasts throughout the beer and laces. Flavor has grass and light pine with a bit of hay backing. Flavor has a good amount of grass and citrus with a bit sweet grain backing. ctipping (2299) - Florida, USA - MAR 1, 2017
16 oz. can. Hazy orange body with a medium white head. Smells of resiny and piney hops. Light tropical fruits with some pale malts. Smells nice. Tastes of resiny hops, sweet doughy malt, citrus. The back end changes dramatically, though. Spikes with a toasty and spicy flavor in the finish. Very odd. Medium body. Starts nice, but that finish is very weird. Can at home, Thanks Mike. Pours hazy orange, thin white head. Aroma is citrus, pine, faint earthiness. Taste is citrus, pine, lightly sweet maltiness. Higher bitterness than expected. High carbonation. Not bad. phaleslu (11003) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - FEB 1, 2017
16 oz. can from seeswo - thanks again, Chris! Pours a cloudy gold with a small white head that settles into a ring and island of film, leaving a good amount of lace in the glass, given the head size. The aroma is dry and dusty, with a lot of leafy and earthy hops, pale and dry malts, pepper, and not much else. Really dry. The flavor has tea with lemon, grass, earth, light pine and citrus peel. Light-medium bodied, with low carbonation and an earthy, bitter, dry mouthfeel. Good, unique pale ale.
