"Vermont style"? Fruity and low bitterness like the NE IPA style. But limited cloudiness. $3.59 per 16 ounce can is typical in this market. superspak (6654) - Waterford, Michigan, USA - JAN 25, 2018
16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 12/4/2017. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy deep golden amber/light orange color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and rocky white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big tangerine, lemon, orange juice, peach, pear, apricot, pineapple, grapefruit, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, citrus peel, light pepper, pine, honey, biscuit, light caramel, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops, fruity yeast, and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of huge tangerine, lemon, orange juice, peach, pear, apricot, pineapple, grapefruit, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, citrus peel, light pepper, pine, honey, biscuit, light caramel, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, lemon, orange juice, peach, pear, apricot, pineapple, grapefruit, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, citrus peel/rind, pepper, pine, honey, biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops, fruity yeast, and bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/sticky, and lightly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Mildly warming alcohol for 8%. Overall this is a fantastic DIPA! All around outstanding complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops, fruity yeast, and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the modestly bitter/drying finish. Never overly aggressive. Not quite the full on NEIPA I expected; but they label it as Vermont style, so that makes more sense. Lots of stone fruity yeast notes. Hazy but not opaque. Extremely juicy/dank balanced hop complexity; nice bready malt backbone, never sweet/heavy feeling with adequate lingering bitter dryness. A highly enjoyable offering. Can. Pour is a slightly hazy orange with a thin head. Aromas are or orange peel and a touch of resin. Flavor is that with a little bit of honey sweetness. Decent. Ibrew2or3 (9062) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - DEC 1, 2017
Pint can pours with an opaque gold copper body that supports a nice dirty white head of foam that leaves behind some spotty lacing. The aroma offers up tangerine, tangelo candy, cantaloupe and a mild degree of floral and peach. The taste delivers a pleasing load of smooth sweet juicy tangerine, cantaloupe, honeydew and a bit of tangelo. To midway the floral notes really come forward to the point of being like a perfume counter. It ends with fading juiciness and lingering floral hop bitterness. rumproasts (6053) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - OCT 22, 2017
Can. Deep golden with one finger head. Medium body. Dank, citrus rind and light pine. Some tropical as well. Solid bitterness. I liked it.

16 oz. can. Deep orange and hazy body with a big white head. Smells of soapy hops, grapefruit, and pine. Hefty toasty and spicy smelling malt. Tastes malty throughout. Resiny hops. Malt flavor isn’t that sweet, which is what I expected. Dry, spicy malt flavor of toasted bread. Soapy hop finish. Medium body with pretty high carbonation. I still think that spicy finish that I’ve gotten from Ellison beers is odd more than interesting. It’s less pronounced in this beer, but it’s still there. Can at home, thanks Mike! Aroma is citrus, pineapple juice, grassy. Taste is piney, dank hops up front with citrus and light tropical fruit following. Faint caramel malts, lightly sweet, moderately bitter. Average carbonation. Really a nice beer. nimbleprop (9146) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - JAN 20, 2017
Unlabeled 16oz can I got from arminjewell. Pours a dark orange with lots of frothy, white head. Nose has dried citrus peel, some paper, dried herbs, some biscuit. Flavor has bitter orange and pine, soap, a little dried mango perhaps, some paper here too. Bitter finish, a little stale maybe? deyholla (12938) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - DEC 26, 2016
On tap at Hopcat A2. Pours a cloudy orange with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has lots of grass and pine notes with a bit of grapefruit underlying. Flavor has a bit of a citrus bite but it is mainly pine bitterness with some grass backing. Msdrbeat (785) - East Lansing, USA - OCT 1, 2016
Happy 1st Anniversary Ellison! Pours almost Amber. Fresh hop aroma. Smooth and not overly bitter.
