22oz bottle. Starting with this one and worked threw all 12 at the same time. A fun line up do do all at once. Pours out a hazy orangeish golden topped with a fluffy head. Nose is spice light herbal notes and some yeast. Taste is more of the spice herbal notes and some sweetness. nuplastikk (6414) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 28, 2014
22oz bomber at Maxs. Hazy orange-tan body. Thin, steady, glass lacing head. A pretty nice Tripel, on the sweet side. Not really on the level of a good Belgian, but decent enough. Sugary, the yerba mate doesn’t do much.

"Pretty nice beer though not a standout by Elysians hefty standards. the traditional aromas and flavors are all there...bubble gum and a bit of clove, with some light fruit and citrus, and it’s also got a grassy herbal bite, which is unique (but not something i;d want all the time. nice warming feel." Poured from a large bottle into a pint glass to drink. The beer had a thick, hazy straw color with a very large, foamy, off-white head with great retention, but lighter cling and lacing. The aroma featured floral hops and yeast, along with some grainy notes, and of course a modest presence of yerba mate. Its taste was a blend of sour grain and yerba mate with a lighter floral sweetness in the beginning. The yerba mate flavor became more pronounced as the beer developed, and tasted surprisingly similar to the actual herbal drink. It had a very dry body and mouthfeel with a somewhat harsh, dry finish, and had average carbonation and life. Not a bad beer, and worth a try, but yerba mate and beer are not an ideal combination. jkwood04 (5463) - Connecticut, USA - FEB 21, 2014
22oz bottle in a tulip. Pours golden/amber with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma of spices and tea, some light spice from the yeast, pale and caramel malts, and light bitterness. Flavor the same with a nice blend of everything. Average texture. A pretty good beer. harrymel (1551) - Spokane, Washington, USA - DEC 17, 2013
