Bomber from Whole Foods PM. Pours thick and jet black, with very little light through, and 3-finger khaki head. Nose is intense raspberries, cacao, dark malt. Tastes of dark malt, fresh raspberries, cacao, yeast. andrewje41 (4156) - Kenmore, Washington, USA - APR 6, 2015
Draft at the brewery. Plastic cup. Gotta love owning day Mariners baseball. Clearly as a re-release, independent from the series. I don’t think the beer has changed one bit. Just the name has become a little more abbreviated. Pours black with a creamy tan head. Sweet mild coffee aroma. Raspberry chocolate flavor. Actually really reminds me of a Theo’s brand raspberry chocolate bar. Rich flavor with a sweet raspberry flavor. This beer is growing on me. Pretty good stuff. tcon25 (932) - Duvall, Washington, USA - APR 6, 2015
Draft pour at Elysian fields. Looks like a re-release, black pour, chocolate some raspberry. You can taste the raspberry in the flavors more nice carb some bit at the end. furthur (1225) - Eagle River, Alaska, USA - APR 2, 2015
Is this a re-release? Screen printed bottle from Costco. Opaque black body, nice creamy almond colored head, fades quick to a skiff, nice creamy lacing. Aroma smells of the first snow (metal) mostly, with coffee, fruit, and brown sugar. Taste is roasty coffee, sweet metally, and tart berries, with some cocoa and coffee finish. Palate is a bit light for style, but not thin. Carbonation nicely subdued and soft. Finish is almost dry, in spite of slightly sweet mid-palate. I thought the metally taste would be a problem, but it’s not really, though I usually consider that a flaw. mnoud (318) - Martinsburg, West Virginia, USA - MAR 29, 2015
2015.03.29 - Elysian Omen Raspberry Stout - on tap at Always Ron's.
No long review. This is right down the middle for me. Not bad not great. The raspberry is a bit perfumy at first but as I work my way through the beer it gets to be better balanced.
Does what it says on the tin. I can imagine raspberry stout being done better.

Sample at the Super Bowl Viewing and Beer tasting on 02/01/2015. The beer is a dark brownish-black color with a touch of ruby around the edges. Medium khaki head that diminishes steadily. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast malt, chocolate and mild raspberry. Medium-bodied with flavors of roasted malt, sweet chocolate and raspberries. The finish is malty up front with a subtle berry aftertaste. Pretty good overall. jkwood04 (5463) - Connecticut, USA - NOV 22, 2014
22oz bottle in a teku. Pours black with big, beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, some light raspberries, hints of spices, some notes of chocolate. Flavor the same with a decent and weird blend. Average texture. A sort of weird beer. Smurf2055 (1400) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JUL 10, 2014
Pours dark, min tan head
Smell sweet roasty stout, red fruit, raspberry
Taste sweet creamy, big raspberry tail
very nice, probably my favorite of the Apoc series DipHead14 (26) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JUN 28, 2014
Pleasent dark black color with a tinge of blood red through light. Nice head. The head lacks the sweet raspberry taste, but it is appearent throughout. There are hints of chocolate, raspberry and espresso, creating a pleasent raspberry mocha taste. The flavor lasts a long time in your mouth. This is also a much lighter stout compared to the other one I’ve had, but I don’t think that’s a bad thing. Even though thickness is a comman characteristc in stouts, it’s nice to get one that isn’t too heavy. MadIndian (2743) - Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 30, 2013
Bottle gift from SJ. This brew was interesting. Notes of chocolate, rasberry, earth, bread and roast. Sometimes it tasted very odd, but I liked it.
