3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Herbal, floral and citrus notes feature prominently in the aroma. Hazy body the colour of wet straw is topped by a shy white head that recedes to ring with scant lacing. Flavour is assertively bitter up front with sweet and lightly grainy malts through the middle and a long floral and fruity finish. Dry medium body with moderate carbonation. Enjoyed on tap at St. Augustine’s.
22oz bottle from the cellar. This is a few years old however let's give it a shot. All the flavors are sort of melded. Given the age it's pretty average and nothing really stands out. A little sweetness and a little hop presence.

22oz bottle during the complete set tasting. Pours out a orangeish topped with a small head. Nose is agave citrus orange hop have faded a bit. I am sure this was more bright fresh. But that’s the risk you take to try the complete set at once. Taste is more of the agave along with a citrus touch. tcon25 (932) - Duvall, Washington, USA - JAN 16, 2015

22 Oz bottle pour. Pours a copper orange color with medium head. Floral hops aroma. Medium bitterness hop flavor with sweet fruit mixed in. Probably a little better fresh, but other way this is good. slowrunner77 (12586) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 25, 2014
"Not getting rosemary per se, but a nice spicy ness in the aftertaste that seems to come from the ample hops, which also lend a citrus and tropical fruit aspect to the beer. Good mix of fruit, bitterness, and malt, great summer beer."

Rosemary Agave IPA (w/lemon peel)
Pours a light golden ale with etched white surface foam. Hazy. Smells of agave syrup, grain and some hints of lemon and rosemary. Getting herbed/spice beer, not IPA. Grain, bitter and lemon rind with some alfalfa. Not impressed. Medium on full bodied for the style and moderate carb. Dry finish. Not a winner for me.

Elysian is one of the few brewers that never fails to put out a good product. I was a bit hesitant to try something with rosemary because it is a powerful herb, but I was not disappointed. The agave and the malt pair beautifully with the rosemary and the hops. Well done! ROGUE (2215) - Lewes, Delaware, USA - AUG 13, 2013
