White and frothy head. Hazy, orange-mocha body. Dry, grapefruit and orange flavor. Grainy, but really good. I really enjoyed it. fiulijn (21214) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 23, 2013

Cloudy deep blond color with medium sized head. Nice grapefruity hop aroma, a bit pungent, quite fresh. Dry mouthfeel, with some toffee flavor; good grapefruit flavor, strong bitterness; there is some orange fruitiness; the orange brings in too much orange bitterness.
A very good strong APA.
Nice orange peel and citrus notes on the nose, a little pale malt sweetness, a touch of toast. Pours amber golden, nice head and lace. Flavors of orange peels, nice citrus hops, pale malts, a hint of sweetness. Fruit is there in the finish and behind the base beer. I really enjoyed this, liked its citrus bitterness and frutiniess. Unique take on an apa. Nice. poisoneddwarf (2646) - Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, USA - OCT 3, 2012
Bomber. Pours an ugly cloudy orange--looks like pureed oranges--with a medium off-white lacy head. If it weren’t for that color, the appearance would have gotten a 4. Aroma is very orangey and a bit floral. Taste is bittersweet with an emphasis on bitter. It has an orange flavor, but it’s not extremely noticeable like the beets in Apocalypse #7. It finishes with a slight spicy burn. Mouthfeel has a nice creaminess. It’s good, but so far the least interesting out of these Apocalypse beers I’ve had. Mostly, it just tastes like an IPA. 22oz bottle, shared with Radarsock. Beautiful electric orange completely hazy color. Good thin white head. Good lace. Good smooth lighter carbonation. Medium body. Awesome orange and grapefruit aromas. Good tangy taste, light bitter and sweet, good amount of zest. Nice floral hops. Very much leaning toward IPA. Very nice, I liked this a lot. Great breakfast beer.

Tap at Elysian Fields, Seattle - 09/11/12.
Very hazy light orange with reddish hues.
Nose is bitter tropical fruits, pine, hops, orange.
Tastes of dark bitter orange - lightly soured, orange pith, bitter grapefruit, pine, quite an all round tarteness.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, bitter finish.
Decent, like an IPA meets sour. Gerbeer (4014) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 4, 2013
650 ml bottle. Pours a hazy yellow/gold with light head. Aromas of pine, malt, tropical fruit, and funk. Flavors of malt and orange juice. Snappy and refreshing. after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - SEP 7, 2012
22. Pours a murky medium toffeeish orange with a dense and creamy whitish head. Pleasant fresh fruit nose, clearly showing the oranges. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Bitter grapefruitiness of the blood orange underneath the more familiar sweet citrus flavor. Mostly a showcase for the fruit. Mild dry finish. Good stuff. Had this at the stadium location before the Mens Room release party. Like every Elysian IPA this is damn good. Creamy texture and bursting with citrus hoppiness. Basically the orange citrus of the amarillos blends seamlessly with the subtle orange flavors. Tastes like an IPA and I love it. hivemind (922) - New York, New York, USA - DEC 30, 2012
On tap at Blind Tiger 12.20.2012 with Andy, James, Christian, Maggi. Dark orange pour. Tropical/citrus fruits abound. Grapefruit, mango, etc. Not sure if I can pick out orange zest/peel but interesting palate nevertheless. Unfortunately only tried a sip or two, but I liked it.
