Unique flavors with a smooth IPA bitterness. Paired well with doughy appetizer, and had a hint of citrus. TheBeerLover (1027) - DC Metro Area, USA - JUL 28, 2007

Enjoyed this one on draught at Elaysian Fields, an Elysian Brewing outlet. They are not brewing there at the moment, but I saw they are setting up a brewing operation. This beer is a very unique and flavorful IPA, that really benefits from the use of jasmine. As stated in other reviews, you can really smell the jasmine in this beer and it is wonderful. This beer pours to a light, hazy, orange color, with a thick, creamy white head, and a good carbonation. Aromas of jasmine, citrus, and honey sweetness flood the nose. The jamine is unmistakable, and makes for a very pleasing nose on a beer. The palate is firm, with good pale and light caramel malt paired with the flavor of herbal taste of jasmine. This beer finishes with more good malt and jasmine flavor, then end with some flavors of jasmine, and some citrus hop bitterness that ties together the malty and herbal character of this beer very nicely. I was really impressed with this one, as I am with all the beers from Elysian. Very unique, aromatic, and flavorful beer. Well worth a try if you visit any of Elysian’s locations. dwyerpg (6497) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - AUG 1, 2007
UPDATED: OCT 3, 2009 Smells very nice, of jasmine flowers! Surprise! Taste is smooth and also quite floral and has a great hop finish. Good stuff.
Had again unknowingly and gave it a 4.6. Love this for early in the evening or morning. MunBro (942) - St. Albert, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 28, 2014
I’m a huge fan of jasmine tea (Jasmine Dragon Tears being my favourite luxury blend) and of IPAs so this was an easy buy for me. Aroma of floral hops and jasmine. Gorgeous hazy orange pour into a spigleau IPA glass. Lots of foam head with a ton of lacing left. I was worried that the jasmine would be overpowering as some other reviewers noted but that isn’t the case at all. An exceptional balance is achieved here with tons of floral and citrus notes from the hops, and a noticeable but not overstated flavour of jasmine after the hop flavours fade. Delicious and very well made!
