Poured from bottle. Pours a rich red-gold color with a light tan head. Aroma of pine, toffee, and caramel. Initially when it hits the palate it tastes almost sweet and syrupy and maybe a bit of berry/cherry, then the hops kick in and it’s bitter and resin. There is a touch of alcohol burn at the end. Finish is fairly long with hints of bitterness, but mostly hops. Head dissipates fairly quickly, but leaves a significant amount of lacing on the glass.

Nearly clear copper pour with a two finger, creamy white head. Aroma is pale malt toastiness, a little oily grain and a hint of pine and caramel. Flavor is woody malt, caramel, earthy, pine and herbal hops. Medium body, chewy feel, light to medium carbonation, off dry finish. OK overall, a little much on the grain oil taste.

portableparty (2384) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - JAN 31, 2017
12 oz. bottle with an ABV. of 8.3%. Pours gold with a tight frothy white head that leaves a foamy film and collar. Aroma is bright hoppy pine spruce sweet caramel alcohol corn. Taste is fragrant with floral sweet flowers and fruit with subtle bitterness and smooth warming alcohol malt caramel, alcohol is well hidden. Although you certainly know it’s there. Palate is medium to full a bit slick and sticky. I’m not going to complain, I like it!

Bottle from a convenience store. Aroma is sweet, citrusy, and a little musty. Taste is resin, pine, some sweet malt, and a bitter boozy aftertaste. Not great.
