COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A heavily hopped and highly alcoholic IPA that is aged a short turn in oak barrels and then blended with fresh, unaged IPA. The oak tannins will be rounded out by the residual sweetness and alcohol with some oak and vanilla notes. Dry-hopped after blending gives it a fresh, fruity and piney layer on top of the complexity already present in this big IPA.

Pours a slightly cloudy, deep copper, with white head. Aroma of hops and wood. Taste is slightly hoppy, with notes of oak and vanilla. Smooth and very drinkable. This is a very good IPA, thumbs up!

Tap @ Bardenay: Clear gold with a white fizzy head. Sweet floral hop aroma. Full body with lots of hops and a sweet finish.

This is a serious beer. I loved the Savant Blanc at 8%, which is delicious but deceiving in that the 8% ABV is not obvious. The gravity, malt and Hop in this grog is nothing short of imperial. I have been drinking beer in all of the best places this week in Seattle. This one is up there in the top three I've had.

Bottle from Total Wine, Lynnwood, WA
Amber color, opaque. Toffeish malt permeates tha aroma. Medium sweet and strong body, caramel flavor, some malt depth, resiny hops, a bit woody.
Not bright IIPA, but a solid beer nevertheless.

Bomber. Pours a clear reddish hue with a small white head. A big caramel malty sweet nose. Light tannic oak, caramel, berries, pine. Toffee and bitter fresh hops. Really a lot like a early ASA. And I dig those! Very nice. Bitter and sweet.

A nice all around aged IPA. Pours a nice deep red with a white head. You can smell the oak, along with some spices and herbs. Taste has oak as well, bit of smoke, herbs and a nice balanced finish. Had in the bottle. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hazy amber. The aroma is fruity, berries, has a nice hop element. Bitter, a bit floral and honeyish, and with a bitter finish that carries a lot of malt.
