A smooth and sturdy stout, made with 10% rolled oats, roasted barley and chocolate malt. The name is referential to the founders of Thebes, warriors who sprang from the earth when the teeth of a slain dragon were sown by Cadmus. Bittered with Chinook; finished with Cascade and Columbus hops.

With an initial aroma of chocolate, this stout pours a solid dark, with a thick and moderate tan head. The beer tastes of dark chocolate, a taste that lasts throughout; aftertaste is malty and chocolate. Everything about this stout was above my expectations, I would recommend this one.

Tastes of overly roasted malts and burned coffee. Has a small tan head that stick around. Appears pitch black. And smells of burnt grain

Draft @ Monarch, PDX. Aroma is roasty, sweet. Black color with tan head, good lacing. Taste is fantastic! Roasty, a little chocolate, balanced sweetness and bitterness. Full bodied, creamy mouthfeel, nice oat contribution. A fantastic imperial oatmeal stout!

Roasted, smoky malts & a bit of bitter chocolates in aroma. Tastes similar with some hop bitterness towards the end. Full-bodied & dry finish. Alcohol’s hidden. Gets slightly better once warm, but it’s still a very basic, mediocre imperial stout. Boring beer & struggled to finish it.
