COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed at our stadium location Elysian Fields brewery in Seattle. Brewed with organic pale, Weyermann Munich and Cara-Hell malts, with pumpkin added in the mash, kettle and fermenter. Spiced with peeled and pureed fresh ginger in the boil and bright tank and hopped with lots of Czech Saaz hops (otherwise it wouldn’t be traditional).

Bottle:   Orange hued straw, slight haze, moderate white head, decent lacing.   Oh boy, I can already tell too much Ginger was used.   Oh yah, pretty much nothing but Ginger in this one.   Slight grassiness on the backside, but gotta wade through a lot of Ginger before you get there.   Pumpkin, what pumpkin?   As it warms I get more and more of a Ginger Pledge like aroma, or maybe even one of those fancy urinal cakes.   This one does not work for me.   If you like Ginger, or maybe even Wasabi, you will probably like this one.   Ugh...

Hazy dark golden color with a small, white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of ginger, grass, toast, pumpkin, and spices. Taste of ginger, citrus, toast, grassy hops, metal, and a dry finish.

Wow, where do I start with this one. Poured a bright yellow color with a white head. Aroma was straight lemon pledge and nothing else. Taste was the same but stronger and worse, with pilsner malt barely there. The most offputting thing I think ive ever drinken. Ginger and vomit.

Location: 22 oz bottle from State Line, 11/11/12

Aroma: It is super heavy on the ginger, with some underlying notes of other spice and citrus
Appearance: It pours a cloudy yellow color with a foamy bright white head and spotty lacing
Flavor: The taste is a little sweet, lots of ginger, a little bit of spice, and a nice crisp hoppy finish
Palate: The body is fairly smooth, crisp, and clean, it drinks really nicely, and has clean, dry finish
Overall Impression: Quite interesting beer. There’s a heck of a lot of giniger in this one, and I didn’t really taste much pumpkin at all. Somehow, it works quite well.

22oz bomber from a 4pack bomber sampler of "Pumpkin" beers. Okay I’m not killing myself with this review. Poured an okay looking cloudy sraw gold with a smaller white foamy head. Aroma is basically all ginger with some grains and toast. Medium to fuller bodied with average carbonation and a dry finish. Flavor is like the aroma and just loaed with ginger. This seems more like a beer that Hitachino Nest should have brewed and there is nothing but ginger spices going on.

Hazy orange and light copper coloured body with some minor amber highlights and a nice, two centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of ginger, allspice, sugar, light squash, malt, a hint of toffee and way way more ginger - tons of it. Light-bodied; Thin feel at first with tons of ginger flavour from fresh grated ginger to powdered ginger, this is strong! Aftertaste is very one-dimensional with some light malt and squash, but basically just a ginger spiciness that lasts long and not many other good flavours that hit the mark at all. Aftertaste is relatively bland with a tiny bit of sweetness, a little squash maltiness and a lot of ginger spices that still don’t work on the palate. Overall, not such a great beer - way too much ginger and no balance at all. Not really worth getting unless you love ginger, but even if you do - stick with a local soda and skip this beer. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from La Bodega in Anchorage, Alaska on 04-October-2013 for US$6.95 sampled all the way across this great country at home in Washington on 14-November-2013.

Grassy and bready nose with a touch of spice. Golden bright beer with a thin fluffy head. Nice pils flavors of bread, grass, lemon. Spice is light and secondary in this one. Light, refreshing, and really pleasant actually.

Bottle. Pours hazy orange with thick, frothy off-white head; good retention and lacing. Aroma is orange peel, herbs, spice, coriander, ginger, citrus hops, biscuit malt, and some straw. Flavor is heavy ginger and dry malts, citrus esters and hops, and floral notes; dry finish with persistent ginger. Medium body and carbonation.

Thanks to 5000 for sending me this bottle. Really didn’t know what to think of this one, but I liked it. Pours a yellow color with a white head. The aroma is very heavy on the ginger with some pilsner malt thrown in. The ginger also dominates the flavor. There is a bit of pilsner malt. I get a slight amount of bitterness from the hops but no real hop flavor. Thin mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Nice.

Tap at Blind Tiger - this was really nice stuff - there isn’t so much a pumpkin character, as there is a pumpkin pie character in the form of light spices and a butter flavor - these two qualities compliment the strong noble hop presence and biscuity malt, respectively - ginger adds a nice dimension - very well-balanced, and a pleasure to drink.
