Bottle. Pours a hazy orange yellow with a thin white head. Aroma of heavy ginger, toast, and light citrus. Flavor of strong spicy ginger, pale malts, citrus and was lightly bitter. A ginger bomb slowrunner77 (12591) - Reno, Nevada, USA - OCT 2, 2014
"i’m not sure what the deal was here...the first half of the description sounds exactly like the GP ale, but this was far more boring, and the 50 50 ginger pumpkin balance in the other beer was more like 90-10 in this one. i like ginger but the pumpkin needed to come out more here. but overall, a nice little pilsner. could go the way of the spiced ale too, but you could definitely tell it was a pils." UPDATED: OCT 11, 2009 Light orange amber with decent head. Easy pilsner understated malt aroma and flavor with dash of pumpkin. Unfortunately, ginger is undetectable, because it would have spruced up this beer nicely. Bit of sulfur and sourness on finish. Re-rate 10/10/09 - This improved markedly since my last tasting and was a highlight for many that I talked to for the 2009 Elysian Pumpkin Brew Fest. Stronger malt backpone and nice gingery underpinning. kmweaver (3207) - Petaluma, California, USA - OCT 31, 2008
Draft @ Elysian Tangletown. Pours a bright, clear golden-orange color; thin white head with fine-bubbled lacing. Basic candy sugar and light spicing in the aroma; sweet, with minimal pumpkin. Lively carbonation. Medium mouthfeel: lots of ginger (reasonably soft), candy sugar, and light pumpkin spicing; a touch astringent and medicinal, but also nicely dry; basic candy sugar maltiness. Medium finish: sugar, lingering slightly-rough spicing with ginger and allspice at the end. Travlr (25821) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - OCT 20, 2012
Draft. Cloudy yellow color, massive white head, solid lacing. Aroma of ginger is detectable from across the room. Taste is heavy ginger, lemon, dust. Rough stuff.

Hazy light yellow with a hoppy ginger aroma. Light and clean with a lot of saaz pepper and ginger. Interesting style for a pumpkin beer. Beerandhockey8 (419) - Three Forks, Montana, USA - SEP 28, 2013
From 22oz bottle to shaker. Pour is a light gold, medium white head. Mose is odd, obvious ginger, slight hop, floral notes. Taste is light bodied, mostly sour with touches of sweetness. Finishes like an IPA with that lingering hopiness. Not really my style here not a big ginger fan. Zeswaft (1776) - Seattle, Washington, USA - NOV 2, 2013
Bomber. Orange color with no head. Mega ginger aroma which is not my favorite spice. Flavor is dominated by ginger and then the saaz kick in and transition nicely. Finish is a little bitter, but some malt comes through. dlovell2 (2237) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - OCT 15, 2012
Tried at Snallygaster Fest in D.C. Golden color with white head. Light pumpkin spice aroma. Some caramel flavor followed by pumpkin spice flavors and some hops. dmac (6429) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - NOV 17, 2012
22oz bomber from a 4pack bomber sampler of "Pumpkin" beers. Okay I’m not killing myself with this review. Poured an okay looking cloudy sraw gold with a smaller white foamy head. Aroma is basically all ginger with some grains and toast. Medium to fuller bodied with average carbonation and a dry finish. Flavor is like the aroma and just loaed with ginger. This seems more like a beer that Hitachino Nest should have brewed and there is nothing but ginger spices going on.
