Hazy dark golden color with a small, white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of ginger, grass, toast, pumpkin, and spices. Taste of ginger, citrus, toast, grassy hops, metal, and a dry finish. TomDecapolis (4618) - Milton, Delaware, USA - OCT 26, 2009
Tap at IH WC during Gathering of the Gourds 2009. Pours a hazy golden amber with a medium bubbly off white head. Aroma of ginger, cookies, noble hops and bready malt. Flavor of the same but the beer was a bit too thin. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - APR 8, 2012
(Draught) Pours a lightly hazy yellow body with a small white head. Aroma of ginger, soap, caramel, pumpkin, and clove. Flavor of ginger, grass, herbs, pumpkin, and grain with a dry, moderately bitter finish. BrewDad (5328) - Olympia, Washington, USA - OCT 22, 2008

Aroma – A weak pumpkin aroma. Just a malty pils aroma.
Appearance – Light golden color, Clear with a nice head.
Flavor – Very nice pils flavor. This was a good beer but with the pumpkin it was totally lacking.
Palate – Light Mouthfeel, OK texture with a dry finish.
Overall – The beer was missing the Pumpkin flavor. Had very very light spice flavors and aromas.
Bottle from Uptown. Pours a light clear, yellow color with a small white head. Smells very strong of ginger. The ginger taste is a little too exotic for me as I prefer hoppy beers. Not very good and I like Elysian beers, especially Loser.

Tap, murky straw pour, not much head or lace to note.Tons of ginger, not much pumpkin, tons of spice, and weird notes. All I get out of this is ginger. Pilsners have zero flavor to begin with so this one was no different with zero pumpkin coming through. jgb9348 (6252) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - NOV 14, 2013
Hazy orange and light copper coloured body with some minor amber highlights and a nice, two centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of ginger, allspice, sugar, light squash, malt, a hint of toffee and way way more ginger - tons of it. Light-bodied; Thin feel at first with tons of ginger flavour from fresh grated ginger to powdered ginger, this is strong! Aftertaste is very one-dimensional with some light malt and squash, but basically just a ginger spiciness that lasts long and not many other good flavours that hit the mark at all. Aftertaste is relatively bland with a tiny bit of sweetness, a little squash maltiness and a lot of ginger spices that still don’t work on the palate. Overall, not such a great beer - way too much ginger and no balance at all. Not really worth getting unless you love ginger, but even if you do - stick with a local soda and skip this beer. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from La Bodega in Anchorage, Alaska on 04-October-2013 for US$6.95 sampled all the way across this great country at home in Washington on 14-November-2013. tnkw01 (1753) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - FEB 22, 2014
Bottle. This beer was terrible. Slightly cloudy, dark gold color. No head, no lace. Smells like a ginger scented candle. Taste....awful. kassner (1659) - Wexford, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 7, 2013
I recommend this beer if you have an upset stomach other wise for enjoyment forget it! Where is the pumpkin? Just chew on Ginger. Elwood (3336) - Leesburg, Virginia, USA - OCT 19, 2013
Serving: 22 oz. bottle from State Line Liquors. It pours a hazy yellow with a small head. The nose smells like the ginger you get with your sushi. The flavor is ginger overload and a strong, dry bitterness. The pumpkin is completely covered up by the ginger. It was a struggle to get the glass down and I certainly didn’t want another. With some balance this combination might be good, but this ain’t balanced.
