Probably the most "refined " beer that I have had over the past two years. beachbum25 (1092) - Powellville, Maryland, USA - APR 28, 2012
This is the real deal, the final product
Very refined. You would think that they have been brewing this for centuries.
Passion fruit in an IPA? Brilliant! Only New Zealand hops? Home run!
At the end of 2012, this might be the best beer that I have had all year.
On tap @ Specific Gravity, Salisbury Md-Copper pour w/a moderate tan head. Citrus hop aroma. Flavors of citrus hop/Grapefruit, tar/pitch/pine, kind of one dementional. OK, but not great in my opinion, somewhat of a hopbomb. Long finish. Capa (3503) - Kitsap, Washington, USA - APR 28, 2012
Clear copper. Aroma is pine, grapefruit, citrus, resin, and a bit of malt. Medium bodied. Flavor is much the same. Sweet malts, pine, citrus, light grapefruit. Enjoyable. My first go around With the Nelson Sauvin hop. Quite nice. drjay44 (3858) - Salida, Colorado, USA - APR 22, 2012
650 ml. bottle. Pours a lasting off white head, with extensive lacing, over a clear, with an occasional floater, amber (SRM 10) body.....nose is citrus, melon, light toffee/caramel, hints of pineapple...taste is citrus, melon, light peach, green grapes, toffee/caramel, finishing with a medium, lingering bitter, pine tinged, bite....mouth feel medium, slightly sticky, carbonation adds a pleasant belch. This is obviously an IPA with the complex hops back bone and the lingering medium bitterness. It is different from many an IPA in that the Nelson Sauvin adds a complex fruitiness in both aroma and flavor, but still has the lingering cleansing bitterness. This is an interesting, successful, hop experiment from an adventuresome brewery. BJCP 7/3/14/4/7

Bomber bought at Super 1 in Rathdrum, ID. Aroma is grapefruit citrusy hops, peaches, cat box. Pours hazy orange with a thick orange-beige lacy head with great retention. Taste starts out lightly sweet with a touch of sour before quickly turning bitter and remaining that way through the long finish. Carbonation is average, texture is a tad watery. Solid. wchesser (2145) - Denver, Colorado, USA - APR 20, 2012
Medium fading head with no lacing. Amber. Nose is grapefruit pith and some orange zest. Bitter grapefruit hoppiness. Good, not great-needs some malt back, but this beer is about showcasing the single varietal hop and I think it does that well. BK7 (805) - Turner, Oregon, USA - APR 15, 2012
On tap at Venti’s South. Solid India Pale Ale. Good hoppy citrus and pine balanced with medium sweetness. Bitter resiny finish that lingers. Tasty. jkwood04 (5463) - Connecticut, USA - APR 13, 2012
22oz bottle in a tulip. Pours ruby/amber with a fluffy, cream-colored head. Aroma of citrusy, light pine, and spicy hops, plus a good amount of caramel malts. Flavor about the same. Average texture. A pretty good IPA. ben4321 (6773) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - APR 10, 2012
Location: 22 oz bottle from State Line, 4/10/12
Aroma: The nose is fairly hoppy, with a good amount of citrus and tropical fruit notes
Appearance: It pours a cloudy caramel color with a nice sized white head and good lacing
Flavor: Tastes light-mid sweet and fairly heavy bitter, similar to the nose plus a nice pine presence too
Palate: The body is medium, it has a creamy feel, some smoothness, and a rather dry finish as well
I was fairly impressed by this one. It is a nice IPA with a good hoppy presence to it. Those who like their IPAs to have a nice citrus and tropical fruit presence should enjoy this one for sure. I know I did.
