Draught @ Elysian Brewing, Seattle, WACJ_Pain (221) - Georgia, USA - JUN 8, 2014
Pours dark orange with a sticky white head. Aroma of exotic fruits, crisp caramely malts, grass and herbal notes. Taste is sweet, juicy fruity and crisp biscuity malty with some caramel and grass. Finish is crisp, sweetish and malty with some caramel. Okay.
Good IPA. Subdued hops, not too bitter, not too mild with minimal malt back bone.

A pretty average American Pale Ale. The bottle says it is Savant, not Idiot. Alanthebeerguy (213) - British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 30, 2014
From the bottle. Pours a cloudy reddish amber. Smaller tan head, good lacing. The smell is more malt than fruit ipa. Some citrus notes in the background. The taste is similar to the smell, backbone of malt and caramel with a little citrus hop. Finish is milder hop bitter but it is a raw hop taste, very green. Just an average ipa.

Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a deep golden amber color with a one finger head of just off white foam. The head has a decent level of retention, slowly fading to leave a great level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the beer is on the sweeter side with lots of caramel and some lighter fruit notes of a tropical variety. Along with these are some light aromas of a grapefruit hop as well as a bit of pine.
Taste – The taste begins with a sweeter caramel taste with a little bit of fruity sweetness. Along with these are some lighter grapefruit hop flavors as well as a little bit of earthy hop. As the taste advances some floral hops increase in intensity with the caramel really getting rather strong toward the end of the taste. The earthy ups it up a bit at the end and with a light herbal flavor that also comes to the tongue leaving one with a sweet, but decently hopped IPA flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the medium side with a carbonation level that is average. The mid range body and carbonation are quite nice for the easy drinking nature of the brew, all while upholding the hop and sweeter flavors nicely.
Overall – A rather easy drinking but quite tasty IPA. Not too high in abv. with a nice blend of hops. While nothing super out of the ordinary, it is rather tasty and at least worth one try.

Pour is a clear copper with a large white head. Aroma is a resiny hop with plenty of caramel malt to back things up. Flavor is moderately flavorful hops with a strong earthy malt with a little toffee left on the tongue. One of those IPA’s where the strong malt presence almost takes over any hop profile. Maybe the beer was a bit old but this hops should have come out more. Homer321 (5119) - Melboring, Florida, USA - MAY 24, 2014
Bottle from a trade. Nose is fruity, light melon. Pours a hazy light red in color, small white head. Taste is initially sweet then shows some lightly roasted character. Finish is almost astringently bitter. Not my cup of IPA. DrewFace (969) - Melbourne, Florida, USA - MAY 24, 2014
Bottle share thanks to Homer321. Mildly hazy dark orange. big danky hop aroma, earthy and citrusy. Hops more muted in flavor. Semi sweet, some citrus, quite bitter. Reimer96 (1743) - Alberta, CANADA - MAY 23, 2014
Pours a hazy orangish copper with a frothy white head. Aroma of tropical fruits, caramel, guava, passionfruit and mango. Taste is a nice caramel malt base, tropical fruits, mango, passionfruit and a nice semi dry wine like finish. Absolute pleasure to drink! AgentAle (1764) - Alberta, CANADA - MAY 17, 2014
UPDATED: MAR 9, 2015 Aroma is slight cirrus, earthiness and some hints of lemon grass. Body is a clear brown with a poorly retained head
