22oz bottle, thanks to parents. Poured in snifter. Interesting hop flavor - resin, tropical fruit, orange, pineapple. Seemingly big malt present, but it works well with the hops. and is less caramelish than usual - maybe bready, some pepperiness. Some grapefruit in the aftertaste. Super smooth carbonation. More dry texture. Very easy to drink, great to wash a sandwich down with. Medium body, totally hazy amber color. Off-white khaki head that leaves great lace all around. Great bigger bitter taste, little sweetness in the finish. Very enjoyable, interesting, and sessionable single-hop IPA. My first showcase of the NZ Nelson Sauvin. Love getting educated. jcos (1851) - Maryland, USA - DEC 16, 2012

Appearance: Pours copper.
Aroma: Aroma of grapefruit.
Taste: Medium bitterness, caramel.
Palate:Medium body lingering aftertaste.
Summary: Done with first 1000 ratings, onto the next. A solid IPA, I’m guessing it wasn’t the freshest so the amount of bitterness and pine was decreased. But solid nonetheless.
Bottle @ home picked up at Wilbur’s Foco. This beer is now named Savant IPA, so that should be aliased here. Pours a hazy, bright, deep reddish orange appearance with a cream colored head. Fruity, grapefruity, white grape, citrusy, somewhat spicy, fairly potent hoppy, light ganja aroma. Quite spicy and floral hoppy, somewhat piney, big grapefruity hoppy, mildly sweet malty flavor with some herbal, bitterness on the finish. Another solid Elysian IPA, though I don’t think I enjoy it as much as some of their others. 5000 (6862) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - MAY 3, 2013
Bottle:   Amberish, fairly hazy, fine sediment floats about, large pillowy off-white head, nice lacing.   Soft pithy nose, some citrus, a bit of resin.   Fairly good example of an IPA.   Not overly bitter, soft
malt base.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full.   Lingering resin and pith, but its not over the top.   Seems pretty refreshing and somewhat bright.   Pith, citrus peel, and soft resin lingers.   Fairly tasty!

Bottle. Poured a nice cloudy copper, big off white head that left lots of lacing on the glass. Aroma of fruits, floral hops and some malts. Kind of a tropical taste, actually quite sweet and fruity for an IPA (not in a bad way), very nicely balanced with the bitterness of the hops. Interesting beer, very enjoyable. chuckstout (332) - Washington, USA - MAR 13, 2014
Lemon, guava, citrus, pours a nice Amber/orange with a dense off white head and excellent lacing. Nice body and mouthfeel. Bitter rind, caramel, biscuit and dry finish Darkmagus82 (2302) - - MAY 24, 2014
Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a deep golden amber color with a one finger head of just off white foam. The head has a decent level of retention, slowly fading to leave a great level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the beer is on the sweeter side with lots of caramel and some lighter fruit notes of a tropical variety. Along with these are some light aromas of a grapefruit hop as well as a bit of pine.
Taste – The taste begins with a sweeter caramel taste with a little bit of fruity sweetness. Along with these are some lighter grapefruit hop flavors as well as a little bit of earthy hop. As the taste advances some floral hops increase in intensity with the caramel really getting rather strong toward the end of the taste. The earthy ups it up a bit at the end and with a light herbal flavor that also comes to the tongue leaving one with a sweet, but decently hopped IPA flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the medium side with a carbonation level that is average. The mid range body and carbonation are quite nice for the easy drinking nature of the brew, all while upholding the hop and sweeter flavors nicely.
Overall – A rather easy drinking but quite tasty IPA. Not too high in abv. with a nice blend of hops. While nothing super out of the ordinary, it is rather tasty and at least worth one try.

Dark amber with thick lace. Meaty beer with tasty hops. Citrusy with a strong malt backbone.
