22 oz. Bottle purchased @ Fremont, Seattle PCC for $10.00 + tax. Quarter inch thin light tan mild lace head. Cloudy dark brown color. Floral toasted mild fruit aromatic delicate hop front. Medium bodied slightly creamy delicately cloying sweet toasted mild fruit lightly caramelized body. Clean balanced mildly hot hop end. Touch of fruity sediment at bottom of bottle. Overall rich, tasty, easy to drink, balanced Imperial Red Ale.
Bomber. Pours a mahogany color, lots of reddish hues with a large beige head. A big sweet malty nose, caramel and cherry. A really rich ASA, caramel, the biggest flavor is probably toffee, dusty malts, cherry and light smoked malt. Very nice. teamsale (273) - Washington, USA - DEC 19, 2016
On tap. Pours a dark brown with a medium tan head and sticky lacing. Aroma is of caramel and spices. Flavor is a bit ordinary and medicinal, some cherry deep down which makes it somewhat more interesting. Finishes with medium bitterness. Overall it’s fine, just a hair above average. Lots of malt and hops on both aroma and taste. Really nice pour with beautiful head. Much like an imperial black IPA, leaning slightly more malty. Great bittering on the finish. Tasted at 48°F. jake65 (3689) - Meridian, Idaho, USA - JAN 1, 2016
Bottle, 2014 vintage, received for Xmas 2015. Super excited at first, then I noticed the date… pours a flat, medium depth brown and topped with a thin beige head. Little bits of lacing. The nose is citrus, noticeably faded, hops. A little bit of wet dog. The flavor has held up remarkably well; citrus, caramel, and floral hops. Some bitters up front before getting sweet, then a lingering floral bitter finish. Actually drinks pretty good. Will try and get a fresh bottle and revisit.

Dark brown color with generous compact head. Too similar to a Black IPA not to be mentioned; good resiny hops blend with good malt, and moderate roasty character; full bodied, fruity, fresh.
Very good beer.
Black is back! 22 Oz bottle poured. Pours a dark brown with a thick tan suds head. I’ve never been crazy about this beer, but the release party for it every year is a blast. Some good guys over at the program. Nice toasty malt aroma with a constant roasted flavor. Overall a tasty beer that I like to enjoy once a year. The jingle certainly doesn’t get old. Same as nooooo shit sherlock. Average imperial. Son of a bitch. No shit sherlock. chriszfat (84) - Lake stevens, Washington, USA - NOV 13, 2015
Pours dark with small head. Not overly boozy for double. Decent flavor but prefer original. DuffMan (10421) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 31, 2015
Bottle, shared by TvM at game night. Dark reddish amber, off white head. Piney, earthy, lightly floral with nice toasty caramel malts and a solid bitter finish. Good. RumRunner101 (918) - Alberta, CANADA - MAR 22, 2015
Brown pour, creamy tan head. Aroma is citrus, spruce, dark malts. Bitterness throughout, roasted malts, slightly herbal and pine notes. Lingering bitterness, slightly medicinal and herbal.
