Draught at St. Augustineís, Vancouver
Cloudy amber color with compact head. A nice ale with a good caramel malt flavor, dryish, strong bitterness; not very emotional, but clean, enjoyable and well brewed as usual by Elysian.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy amber color with a slight orange tint to it and a smallish white head on it. Nose is pretty malt forward, though nondescript, and only a little bread coming through. Actually ends up being a tad earthy. Taste is a tad bitter, but not very interesting. Not all that great, to me.

Clear light amber color. Floral hop aroma. Taste is bitter and dry. Not a red ale for an adjunct drinker, this one has some body and bold flavor. An intro Beer by this brewery that could easily be overlooked. Solid!

Appearance: clear coppery amber, with a short beige head and minimal lacing. Aroma: slightly sweet, with roasted barley, granola bars, and some citrus/floral hops. Taste: as the aroma indicates, with the flavors trending more to sweet and toasty. Finish: clean, slightly dry, with a nice, delicate floral bitterness on the back side. Notes: Seemed more like an amber or red ale. Quite enjoyed it.

Serving: from tap at Shakeyís Pizza. Aroma: light, floral hop aroma. Appearance: small, creamy, off-white, initial head with fair lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Clear, medium-amber body. Taste: lightly bitter initial flavor and finish with average duration. Palate: light-to-medium body with watery texture and lively carbonation. Overall: very good. Not overly bitter.

Bottle. Amber color, a little cloudy thin head. Surprisingly hoppy aroma and bitter finish. Overall pretty good.

HQT night. Bottle. This beer just didnít work for me. Perhaps I had a bad bottle, this I had a sour milk scent when I poured. It came out a dark cloudy red. Iíll need to try a draft, and see if I can bump this score up a bit.

UPDATED: APR 8, 2015 Bottle sample at a tasting, thanks Ariel. Clear amber with a nice head, good lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus hops and malts. A bit sweet, with bitter dry but short finish, easy to drink.

Bottle from GE Logan Twp. Pours red with dissipating white head. Nose of caramel and biscuit. Flavor is basically the same. Subtle biscuit and bread, some caramel. Rather sweet with little discernible hop characteristic. Drinkable.
