Cthonic black, ring of head, flat-bodied. Horsey nose, complex, aged red wine quality, herbal, and grassy. The body is fruity, herbal, and with muted phenols that never quite fully develop. Nice fruit-acidic finish. Characterized by a very light vein of roasting that adds a smooth, purling stream of complexity. yespr (45464) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - MAR 15, 2012
From tap at the Pike brewpub. Pours clear and golden deep amber with a small off white head. Aroma is roasted malty, overripe fruity and light yeasty. Bitter and dry malty into the finish. Smooth roaated malty and dry finish. riversideAK (6261) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - MAR 5, 2012

Draft at fields. Pours an opaque purply black with a light thin tan head. Vinous nose with a bit of dark tree fruit. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Tart balsamicy vinous tang with some ashy patenty counterpoint. Interesting take. Good beer.
