Clear dark amber orange pour with a white head on it. Left spider lacing as I drank. Aroma is a little sweet caramel, candied orange peel, lemon, hay, and herbal hops. Upon sipping, I found this has a fairly light toast and caramel body with more citrus hops and a piney finish. Pretty decent Northwest IPA, but nothing that stood out very much. trevor211 (1681) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAR 12, 2010
Draft at Brouwer’s. Pours a cloudy light orange, with a smallish off-white head. A great citrus and floral hop contingent is balanced by classic caramel malts, but the hops shine through like they should. Full mouthfeel, very smooth but still crisp. I wouldn’t shout home about it, but I wouldn’t shy away from getting it again. Really good stuff. after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - MAR 2, 2010
draft at brouwers fifth. pours a clear, ruddied dark amber with a loose white head and plenty of splotchy lace. mild tangy orange and tangerine nose. creamy medium body with solid lively carb. plenty of tangy orange and tangerine on the mid palate, along with toasty caramel. long orange rind and orange zest finish. tasty but kind of a narrow palate and lacks the depth and intensity of some of its compatriots at brouwers fifth.
