The body is a dark amber with a frothy off white head. The aroma has nutmeg, vanilla and pumpkin. Very much like a fresh pie and more in your face than many pumpkin beers. The taste is raw pumpkin with some light spices of nutmeg. There is also a light tinge of cinnamon and zucchini. a decent pumpkin beer. Thanks for the bottle, MrFacto. On Tap @ Elysian- Pours a clear rich orange color. Nice off white head, laces well. Aroma of nutmeg, tarragon, pumpkin "guts". Flavor is pumpkin, cinnamon, other spices, sweet dry finish. BückDich (5477) - McCall, Idaho, USA - OCT 2, 2005
Ruby color, thin head and modate lacing. Nose of light malts, ginger, clove and some noticable pumpkin. The flavor is very fibrous like pumpkin pie, lightly hopped though. Nice sweetness fills the rest of the beer. This is pleasant. The finish is gourdy and balanced. Very nice. porterdude (170) - Bellingham, Washington, USA - SEP 19, 2005
Bottle. Pumpkin colored pour. A very nice aroma of pumpkin pie. A nice pumpkin flavor and the other spices come through pretty nicely. Pretty average body, like an ESB. I rather enjoyed this, my first pumpkin ale. glkaiser (1214) - Seattle, Washington, USA - SEP 14, 2005
Had this on tap at Tangletown....according to the bartender they screwed up this batch and it’s not quite as strong as usual. I really enjoyed it though...typical Pumpkin Ale, but very smooth. I actually wanted another when I was done, not the case with most spiced beers.

Bottle pours a slightly hazy deep amber, sturdy off-white foamy head, very sticky lacing, with soft carbonation. Aroma is amazingly similar to fresh Pumpkin Pie and Dolfin Hot Masala Chocolate. However, the flavor is quite fleeting. Minor Pumpkin Pie notes, but no other spices to back it up. Light body, average mouthfeel. Finishes too quick IMHO. Had it been a bit more spiced I think this would have been top notch. Last years was a better. Crit (4116) - Surrey, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 23, 2002

Actually pretty much the same bland offering as before, maybe more so. Dropped 1 overall
Slight alcohol nose.Fizzy pumpkin taste with very light spicing. baobubba (455) - Starkville, Mississippi, USA - NOV 29, 2002
The aroma of this one was crammed with caramel almost butterscotch in aroma. Also, a little alcohol in the aroma. Nice body, it was a little overcarbed at first. Aftertaste was bitter after a while. I can't get over the aroma, awsome. BillKismet (4170) - Seattle, Washington, USA - NOV 20, 2002
Peach-orange-pumpkin body with a healthy, frothy, creamy head and a pungent warming pumpkin innard/roasted pumpkin seed aroma. This beer lacks the intense spicing of some pumpkin ales and has a natrual pumpkin flavor (possibly a hint of allspice). It tastes like the pumpkin juice was squeezed out of the pumpkin for the purpose of this ale. Sourish pumpkin finish.
