For me, a session pumpkin ale that nails it completely. Strong pumpkin ale spices on the nose that follow through in flavor, which is incredibly deep for an ABV of 5.9%. Really, this beer hits all the notes perfectly, without accentuating anything in particular. I would use this to introduce a non-beer drinker to the style. There are better, but this is good. Nice orange-amber color with a decent head but fades rather quickly. Aroma is strong with pumpkin spice and nutmeg. Smells like fresh pumpkin roll out of the oven. The taste is pumpkin pie and the mouthfeel is fluffy. That’s fresh tasting and quite complex. I really like this brew. It’s certainly different than most pumpkin beers and the flavors are just phenomenal! BARRYBEERBARON (24) - USA - OCT 1, 2013
I love this beer. Has a strong Pumpkin flavor and they really grab the essence of fall. Definitely not a subtle pumpkin beer! GenDV138 (7277) - Falls Church, Virginia, USA - SEP 14, 2014

Cloudy amber pour with normal head volume, outstanding lacing and world class retention.
Outstanding nose of pumpkin, a light sweetness and mixed spices (clove, cinnamon, nutmeg) as an undercurrent.
Outstanding body that is heavy medium and slightly slick. World class carbonation / body balance that delivers an effervescent middle and a nice prickly burst in the finish.
Borderline world class flavor profile that strikes the perfect balance of pumpkin and spice. It begins with a mixed spice that begins as nutmeg then flows to cinnamon and ginger by the middle. Underneath is a subtle sweetness that has caramel notes. The middle is also where pumpkin makes the strongest appearance that ebbs into the finish. From the middle on, spice becomes more pronounced with clove and allspice taking center stage. The finish yields a lingering pumpkin and spice note. One of the best pumpkin ales I’ve had. Poured into a tulip snifter glass
Nice reddish Amber color
Nose of various spices, but not overwhelming. Pumpkin was subtle and a little understated
Very refreshing on the palate, with no lingering finish
Overall, very nice. One of my favorite seasonal pumpkin ales so far

Poured a hazy dark amber and immediately out of the bottle I caught the sweet smell of pumpkin pie. Hints of cinnamon, sugar, and nutmeg also was present there and all this followed through in the taste without disappointment. A fantastic example of this style!

UPDATED: SEP 26, 2015 "this one, though i have lots of respect for Elysian, was a huge surprise. started with this and by the end of the night, it was still my clear favorite, and probably the best pumpkin beer i’ve ever had (at the time). aroma was simply magnificent. if you like pumpkin, this is it! get it fresh. THE most natural pumpkin aroma that kept my nose returning to it all night. lighter abv but full flavored, smooth, medium bodied. spices were not overdone and there was an additional toasted character that fit the beer well. biggest surprise in a while. for my money - kicked pumking’s butt!! 11/10-just as nice on tap. best beer there! 10/11-almost as nice. almost. 12 oz bottle. Pours a nice orange copper color, pearly head, some lacing. Aroma is strongly spiced with clove and cinnamon. Some toffee malt and grassy hops as well. Flavor is medium sweetness, with a long bitter, spicy finish. Palate is perfect. Overall an excellent seasonal beer.
