10th October 2008. GABF. Hazy gold beer. Sour and tart but not overwhelming. Dry spicy finish. Nice. SuzyGreenberg (1603) - Seattle, Washington, USA - SEP 29, 2009
draft @ Brouwer’s Sour fest - orange with rose highlights and thin yelloe head; mild aromas of brett, lemons, grapefruit and dried apricots; creamy texture with nice bretty zing; pretty nice overall 3fourths (9331) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - MAY 18, 2009
UPDATED: MAY 21, 2009 Draft pour @ Brouwer’s Sour Fest 2009. Cloudy/murky amber/honey colored body. Soft prickly carbonation. Caramel and aged/dried fruit in the nose, similar flavor with a low level of acetic acid, more of a fuzzy/tannic fruit skin character. Good but not great. Sour ale rating #100. gracefullypunk (667) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAY 10, 2009
Pale caramel with little head that left no lacing. The strongest aroma was that of vinegar, followed by orange and yeast. The flavor was not too sour, more of a tart citrus-cherry. carruthm (1401) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAY 10, 2009
on tap at fields for SBW. Clear light orange color, somewhat bubbly. nose is only lightly sour, the taste mostly tart than sour. finish is kind of flat.

Growler, thanks to WeeHeavySD for saving me some. Pours a clear dark amber with no head. Nice tart fruity aroma, with cherries, citrus, and yeast. Taste is light sour, fruit. Lingering light sourness, a bit watery. Looks like it’s maybe been open too long. hapjydeuce (1000) - Carlsbad, California, USA - FEB 21, 2009
Growler shared by WeeHeavySD at J&J’s Friday the 13th Tasting. Hazy orange color with some white bubbles. Malty, grainy flavor with some cherry and light tartness. Flavor is similar to aroma. Starts sweet, with flavors of citrus and wheat, that ends mildly sour. Fairly simple and straightforward. Lagunitasfan (1323) - San Diego, California, USA - FEB 16, 2009
Shared same growler from WeeHeavySD’s tasting. Light and fruity nose with light sweet and tart and sour lingering. Hazy orange amber color. Flavor is lightly tart with a clean tart-smack in the mouth for the finish. Yummers. WeeHeavySD (3387) - Portland, Oregon, USA - FEB 14, 2009
Growler, from Mr. Scrizz, thanks very much Clint. First beer of what I dubbed the J&J tasting, hosted at my place thrown by me and wetherel. Pours orange with a bubbly tan ring. Nose is tart, slightly sour, and sweet. Taste is sweet, tart and funky. Tasty sour, and glad to have had it, but it looses something. riversideAK (6260) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - DEC 17, 2008
Light funky nose with some fruity notes of orange, strawberry. Bright orange golden pour, hazy with a nice head. Flavors of soft fruity sweetness, funk, medium tartness and sourness. Nice sweet fruity and medium sour combination. Really enjoyable.
