Draft at Elysian Fields. Pours slightly cloudy medium amber with a beautifully moussy white head that really sticks around on the side of the glass. Nice creamy attack, and say the same for the miod-palate. These guys get that first sip just perfect every time. Finishes with the perfect flourish of grapefruit and a nice sticky bitter cling. Draft at the Elysian brewpub on Capitol Hill, Seattle on 7/11/07. Clear amber with a soft, frothy off white head and excellent lace. A nice fresh piney and citrus hop aroma is promising. Nice medium body and light carbonation with some notable resin. Light brown sugar backs up a very pleasing and an assertive but refreshing grapefruit rind bitterness in a long satisfying dry finish. Nicely crafted IPA worth having again. Feinschmecker (202) - Seattle, Washington, USA - SEP 12, 2007
On tap at Capital Hill Brewery.
My favorite IPA from the Elysian. It is not only full of hops but also a malt presence that makes you want more. The alcohol is prominent part of the flavor profile. What a great IPA! riversideAK (6265) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - JAN 7, 2008
Tap at Elysian Fields. Aroma of pungent weed and tangy bitter citrus. Pours hazy orange with a decent head. Flavor is hop dominated with notes of citrus and pepper. Not alot of balance. Lingering bitterness. Dry. Good. eyesolus (64) - Mill Creek, Washington, USA - MAR 15, 2009
Tap at Tangletown; Cask Conditioned; great aroma - very fruity; nice balanced hop mid palate; faint citrus bitterness resides throughout palate; has a bit of w.o.w. factor to it; kinda feel joyous getting a chance to embrace this beer. (#36)

Bottle:   Fiery orange, slight haze, large rocky off-white head, very nice lacing.   Looks great in the glass!   Soft pithy nose, somewhat sweet, a little pine, and also some candied citrus peel.   Oh wow, now that is nice on the tongue.   Lots of juicy citrus varieties, some pine and mellow yet flavorful hops.   This is really smooth, flavorful, without being overly biting.   Super easy to drink, yet has my tongue a little tingly from the bitterness.   Body and mouthfeel are full to moderate.   Carbonation is very mild.   I really like this one, and so far the best of the Manic IPA series. boxofrane (2559) - Spring City, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 5, 2012
Draft at pinocchios. aroma is grapefruit forward with a little pine in the background. Taste is medium bitter but has some maltiness on the finish. Solid! chris2431 (241) - Oregon, USA - NOV 3, 2012
Bomber. Really nice well balanced rendition of a NW IPA. Elysian never disappoints. I would drink more if it was available in 6 packs. kyzr (1616) - Montana, USA - JUL 27, 2014
Cloudy off orange with nice frothy head. Big hoppy nose. Flavor is the same with a dry moisture sucking quality. Finishing with a bit of hoppy pepperness. Savage_Night (438) - Los Angeles, California, USA - JUN 28, 2015
Pours clear orange with a white head. Head retention is ok. AROMA: citrus, pineapple, malty, floral/herbal hops, tropical fruit, passion fruit, tangerines, sweet pine and slightly boozy notes. TASTE: pineapple, citrus fruit, malty, hop bitterness, tropical fruit, light caramel, spice, spruce, herbs and hop bitterness. AFTER TASTE: hop oil, citrus, spruce and pineapple with an oily finish. Bought the bomber just for the label, my daughter loved it, but I’m really surprised at the great taste of this brew. Only thing that makes me upset is that ELYSIAN is now owned by AB InBev.
