Mild saison. Pretty much screams average in every sense. Has decent traditional saison flavor but nothing really stands out here! mcberko (17339) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 30, 2017
On tap at Elysian Tangletown, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots floral and fruity esters, with Belgian yeast. Flavour brings out the pink peppercorns upfront, followed by other spices, and fruity esters from the yeast. Not particularly pleasing, but the peppercorns are decently used. vtafro (7445) - Wayne, New Jersey, USA - DEC 27, 2010
Draft @ BT. Yellow pour with a bit of white head. Aroma full of diacetyl. Low carbonation. Flavor follows with some sweet apple and spices, but canít get over the butter flavor. tokyogoat (1503) - San Diego, California, USA - JUL 10, 2010
A decent offering, well worth the money and iíd possibly get it again. Just didnít knock my socks off. Tasty, the rosehips were a nice addition, after a night of drinking huge beers like tokyo, this was one of my favorites. AmEricanbrew (6878) - Same Trailer, Different Park, Louisiana, USA - JUN 11, 2010
Clear amber color/ white head. Vegetal, herbal, dry spicy aromas. Nice pale malt, herbal, candi sugar, vegetal flavors, soft co2, good.

Tap at the Green Flash promo night listed as the Green Flash Red Queen Farmhouse Ale. Pours a hazy amber with a thin head. Butter Bomb! Aroma of big slick sweet red wine mixed with aceto mixed with tons of butter/diacetyl, some oaky wood character some sweetness and light earthy tones but not much else in the aroma. Flavor is a light spicy character oxidized acetic wine, wood, oak, toffee sweetness, brown sugar, syrup, more slick butter in the end- not even dry, actually quite sweet- and the carbonation is low so the beer is flat and not lively. This one went horribly wrong. NobleSquirrel (3438) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 18, 2010
Draft at Blind Tiger as Green Flash Redqueen. Pours a slightly hazed copper. Nose is basement and touch of mildew, yeast spiciness and some light fruit. On taste, itís got more of that odd funky fungal note. Kind of unpleasant, though it fades. Winey notes and some light fruitiness compliment the spicy yeast notes as well. Meh. brokensail (16440) - Dublin, California, USA - MAY 3, 2010
A: The pour is a hazy golden color with a thin but sticky white head.
S: The nose is highly spicy and floral. The peppercorns really stand out, and although you might not necessarily pick out roses, they add a definite floral aroma. There is some sweetness in the background as well, but it is not quite as intense as the other aromas.
T: Initially the flavor is sweet and malty, but as the beer warms up a tad, the peppercorns come out along with a lightly floral flavor. The apples also begin to really shine as they provide some excellent sweet, fruity flavor.
M: The body is fairly full for a saison with a moderate carbonation and a bit of dryness.
D: This is another one of those "interesting" beers, but I actually found it to be quite good. Rustyham (1836) - St. Petersburg, Florida, USA - APR 19, 2010
Sweet and fruity, sour and fizzy. Great and balanced. I wish I had written more about it. On tap at the brewery. SuzyGreenberg (1603) - Seattle, Washington, USA - APR 9, 2010
Draft @ Capital Hill; light amber with thin white head and minor haze and reddish hues; sweet, sticky aromas of candy apples, faint pepper and wheat; peppercorn is almost non-existent to me with lots of sweet apple skins and almost creamy mouthfeel; plenty for sweetness with whatever saison yeast influences covered up; an easy drinker though and Iím glad the peppercorn bite is mild; doesnít exactly work here, but more apple beers please :)
