Sampled from a bottle this beer poured a very dark amber color with a medium sized foamy white head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was sweet with almost maple syrup. draft @ brewpub. Clear amber. Very thick, lasting head. Lots of flowers but also has diacetyl. Ugh. Slick palate. Buttery :( Some smokiness in the palate. Soapiness. Clashing flavors. Rattle’n’Hum: Elysian does florals very well, period. And this is a good example of that floral aroma/ taste usage. Pours and mild hazy copper, white wet head. Fruity sugars, balanced by the medium carbonation and soft but noticeable alcohol.
