3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
draft @ capital hill location - clear amber with slight white head and lots of carbonation that overwhelms the flavors at first; flavors of caramel, sugar and sweet malts, just looking for more punch with this one; thin body and light syrupy texture

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Hazy ruddy amber with a thick, bubbly head. Brown sugar and intense caramel on the nose, with a slight woody underpinning. Sweet, with quite a bit of nuance. Brown sugar, earth, caramel, a hint of milk chocolate, lots of wood and a splash of alcohol in the finish. I continue to be impressed with the technical profiency and creativity of the Elysian brewers.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draft at the Pike Street brewhouse. Pours murky, mucky medium brown with a frothy white head. Mild perfumey/floral nose with a bit of caramel. Body’s fairly thin. Not much carb. Mild caramel, tea, and biscuit on the mid-palate. Long acetic finish. Weak and underdone.

They put this on cask at Capital Hill as I was sitting there. Very cloudy brown with thin head. Definitely not what I was hoping for. Very mild malt and quite cider-like. Just very light and no notes of alcohol or much sweetness. Bland.
