Black with a dark brown head. Sweet dark malts and coffee are the two notes I picked up in this one. It also has some vanilla in the background, rounding out the sweet malt. Full bodied. Pretty simple coffee stout but well made at the same time

This draft brew from a restaurant was served at a cool temperature and poured a head of foamy finely sized light brown colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind no visible carbonation opaque black brown colored body and an excellent lacing. The nice aroma was malty dark malt and mild toffee. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish mild roasted malt aftertaste. The flavor contained notes of roasted malt sweet dark malt and malt. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again.

Pour is a black with almost no head at all. Aroma is a real nice bitter roasted coffee with some dark chocolate notes. Flavor is more sweet chocolate malt with a little coffee on the aftertaste. Not overly sweet but there is plenty of chocolate flavor. I just wish the coffee made more of an appearance. Still this was pretty flavorful and probably one of the better Elysian beers Ive had.

Bottle. A- Coffee, chocolate, mild candle wax, slightly sweet, slightly earthy. A- Black color, dark liquid, light brown head. T- Coffee, chocolate, roasty, sweet. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- For a sweet stout, it is sweet but keeps it manageable and not hedonistic sweet. Loads of earthy coffee and also lots of roasty chocolate throughout. Really, quite tasty.

Draft. Poured a black color with a large tan frothy head that lasted with very good lacing. Medium complex toasted dark malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium roasted dark sweet flavor with a medium roasted dark sweet finish of moderate duration. This is a good beer.
