On tap @ The Beer Junction. Nitro. High drinkability. Very nice, almost comforting, espresso taste with a solid stout to back it up. Not an overwhelming bitter taste, yet enough to compliment the robust malt sweetness and coffee finish. Fantabox

Pours an opaque black with cola highlights. Has a khaki head with decent lacing. Aroma of coffee and chocolate milk with chocolate syrup. Taste has a bit of sweetness with chocolate, nutty coffee and ends with some roastiness. Mouthfeel is semi creamy with a medium/full body and medium carbonation. Nothing too complex but very solid and enjoyable flavors.

Dark pour with a tall tan head. Chocolate and coffee, which is always nice but neither is particularly rich or complex. Kind of a paint-by-numbers coffee stout.

This would be a great dessert/after dinner beer. It pours dark chocolate brown with a little bit of foam. While pouring it the aroma is noticeably sweet, like chocolate milk. The flavor is sweet up front, the chocolate milk quality is still there, but then the coffee hits big on the finish.

On tap in Greenville SC in a Gouden Carolus glass. Poured dark red-brown, nearly black, with a weak beige head that left spots of lacing. S: The moderately strong aroma features medium roasted coffee; a particularly nice coffee aroma. Flavor: the excellent smell carries over to the coffee dominated flavor. Some complexity here with hints of dark dried fruits, dark chocolate and toffee. Faint smoke with coffee in the lingering aftertaste. M: Medium-full bodied with light-medium carbonation.

Bottle. Creamy coffee, chocolate malt, and hay aroma. Black with large brown head. Moderately sweet milk, coffee malt, and moderately bitter dry hay flavor. Body a bit on the light side. Pretty good - a good breakfast beer.
