Probably my favorite beer of all time next to Guinness or Breckenridge Orange Stout. Just a great, interesting taste for both cold and warm Colorado weather. katrinaez (2024) - norristown, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 5, 2015
UPDATED: NOV 30, 2015 Outstanding beverage. Rich and creamy. Coffee and cream slight cocoa taste. Wish we had another bottle. Saw below a low rating for tap...want to find it in tap to compare.Bottle
Just had on tap and can see why everyone rated it so low. It doesn’t translate over tap. It has no taste in tap form. Only get the bottle NEVER GET TAP!!!! BVukelich (37) - Algona, Washington, USA - JAN 15, 2014
Bomber into traditional English stout glass. Perfect color, decent head and left some decorative lace. Aroma was a sweet, espresso. Taste was perfectly balanced. Chocolate and coffee notes. Bitterness on the back end but not overpowering. Medium+ viscosity. Wonderful aftertaste. This is one rock solid, sweet stout! I’m sure if I was an espresso drinker, I would appreciate it even further. Good stuff! Beerandhockey8 (403) - Three Forks, Montana, USA - JAN 20, 2014
From 12oz bottle to shaker. Pour is a black color with a tan head. Nose is big coffee, chocolate, roasted malt. Taste is mostly sweet, bits of bitterness. Finishes hold and heavy, phenomenal beer . maxwelldeux (4374) - Snohomish, Washington, USA - FEB 10, 2014
Bottle. Pours a near black color with moderate light tan head on it that quickly disappears. Nose is roasty with a very intense amount of coffee coming off it, and just a hint of some dairy underneath. Taste has a lot of coffee in there, but has a sweetness underneath, like it’s a subtle latte. Very pleasant drink.

ABV was listed as 6% on the bottle so this may have been a newer edition of the beer. This was absolutely fantastic. Has a little more coffee and cream flavor than the average stout, and the mouthfeel was creamier as well. Best beer I have ever had. corpsuckle (101) - Washington, USA - JAN 11, 2014
I love beer. I love coffee. Elysian is the first brewery to combine them perfectly.
