3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
This beer promises orange, and it delivers. Superfuzz tastes like eating an entire orange, peel and all. If you like orange, this is great for you, as this is as orange beer tasting as orange beer can get. For people like me that are not crazy about orange, the beer is fine, but certainly not a first choice. If you flat out don’t like orange flavored things, you should probably stay away. At the end of the day, this Orange Pale Ale is an enjoyable beer for your back door BBQs this summer, and is perfect at what it tries to do.
Bottle. Unfiltered. Sediment apparent. Orange color, very cloudy and murky. Hoppy citrus aroma. Blood orange smell. Nice flavor of malt, some hops, citrus, fairly well balanced. Edges on citrus forward. Lingering aftertaste, sweet and tangy. Nice. rougeau13 (3156) - Richmond, Texas, USA - OCT 6, 2017
Bottle. Off-white head. Dark cloudy pinkish brownish orange with a ton of sediment. Aroma of orange and citrusy hops and a bit of sweet malt. Tastes of orange with light bitterness and some grain. Thinnish medium bodied and smooth. Ok. dwyerpg (6368) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - SEP 25, 2017
This was pretty nice. A strong orange throughout, but a little hops as well. mesacollier (21) - - SEP 22, 2017
Dark orange brown color, nice white head, orange citrus aroma, bitter with a slight hint of the orange, not my favorite

From a 12 oz. bottle. Pours a murky orange brown and an off white head. Bottle full of nasty floaters. Malty aromas with some citrus and earth. Flavors are mild bitter with plenty of orange.

Bottle from...Honestly, I can't remember. Maybe a grocery store mix a six? Was that it? Could be, I guess. Anyway, this was an odd beer. Lots of citrus, but also a lot of yeasty notes, as well. Odd, would likely pick up again. ibrubeer (403) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - SEP 5, 2017
UPDATED: SEP 5, 2017 Draft @ PIT Doubletree. Aroma is a little orange, and maybe a little musty. Opaque orange cookie with white head that fades, little lacing. Smooth bitterness, maybe a little Citrus flavored. Med body. Overall, pretty good for a pale ale. Getting a little late in the season for this one. Might be a little old. ronaldtheriot (1978) - Laplace, Louisiana, USA - AUG 29, 2017
Elysian Superfuzz has a thick, off-white head of foam, an almost opaque, orange appearance, with lots of gray sediment chunks, throughout and moderately-heavy glass lacing. The aroma is of dry hops (oddly), white bread crust, and, perhaps, some orange notes. Taste is of all those elements, in a mixture, with remarkably-strong bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium to heavy, and Superfuzz finishes medium dry. RJT ZacM612 (751) - San Antonio, Texas, USA - AUG 25, 2017
Draft at Draft Station. Cloudy orangish brown with lacing head. Strong orange aroma. Mildly bitter with a nice citrusy finish.
