On tap at Tangletown. Pours a cloudy dark amber with an off-white head. Has a cidery spiced flavor of apples, cinnamon, nutmeg, coriander. This is very yeasty. Because of the presence of acetaldehyde my suspicion is that they tried to hide their mistake with spices. killjoy966 (677) - Washington, USA - MAR 30, 2008
This was given as the last of the five-beer sampler at the Elysian brewpub. It tastes exactly as it sounds, yet neither style overpowers the other. Starts off with the harder and darker hit of amber, followed immediately by the much lighter and refreshing hefeweizen. Both styles are present but the coexist in harmony. Very interesting beer.
