Draft pour at the Great Pumpkin beer fest. Pours a solid yellow color with no head. Sweet candy pumpkin, orange, and watermelon aroma with a matching flavor. Refreshing, and tart. Odd sour finish. Love the style and the sour to it, but i feel the pumpkin didn’t quite belong here. I suppose this could have been much worse, but it came offer as too candy like. Interesting.

Golden in color straw like hazy with a thin head. Belgian yeast forward with some added spices this was a tasty beer. Nice Berliner Weisse.

2011 Elysian GPBF #11. Ursa Minor with a shot of Elysian’s pumpkin mojo juice. Tart citrusy wheat, lactic aromas with some mild pupmkin spice. Medium body with light co2. Nice tart pale wheat, mild lactic sour flavors with a hint of pumpkin pie spices--goot sheet

Tap @ Elysian’s Great Pumpkin Beer Fest... Poured pale, straw yellow with no head. This was off the hook, my absolute number one of the fest. Dry and tart with a nice mixture of wheat malt and pumpkin spice. Sqaush-like and candied sugars with some light grass or hay, and a little bit of a lactic acidic finish.

On tap at GPBF. Light orange-yellow. Well carbonated. Slightly tart, citric aroma. Flavor was light, salty, and quite tart, just as it should be. Pumpkin was secondary, mellowing the beer a bit, and adding a minor hint of sweetness. Wish this could be year-round, as there just aren’t many quality beers of this style available in the PNW. An excellent, but not quite traditional, Berliner Weisse.

Draft at GPBF. Bright sparkling medium gold. Loose sudsy white head. Nice pickle quality to the tartness on the nose. Fizzy light body with very understated tartness and not much else happening. Pleasant and easy drinking. Served in some very burly company, but shows a lot of promise as a refreshing palate cleanser.
