Sampled during VCBW 2013 at the River Rock Resort Casino pouring a clear golden color with a small white head that leaves some thin spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma is mild with some caramel and grass. Taste is a caramel malty sweetness with a light grassy hop bitterness. Light to medium bodied with mild carbonation. An average brew for the style. SBW Last Call 2010. Clear amber color/ beige head. Big floral, flowery ( not hops) aroma with cinnamon, sweet toffee. medium bodied. Malty sweet toffee, wild honey, cinnamon, flower, sweet n’ spicy flavors, mead - like in a way. good Nena (963) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAY 25, 2010
Draft, SBW closing. Gold pour, thick white head. Bready, earthy, floral aroma with a bit of apple and lager yeast aroma. This is very creamy feeling, with a sweet, gingerbread character and the floral woodruff being pretty prominent. Pretty sweet, but the woodruff matched well with the rich malt profile of this. Herbal and a little earthy as it finishes. I enjoyed this more than the straight version of Elysian’s maibock. philbertk (1873) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAY 24, 2010
Woodruff Maibock. 4 ounce Taste @ Seattle Beer Week Last Call Festival. 5.90% ABV. 25 IBU’s? Light lace white head. Clear thin bright amber color. Very floral Woodruff flower front continues to flavor smooth cloying mild sweet light caramel body. Clean mild hop end. Delicious! Shared out of the growler by Tex ad bottleworks. Thanks man! This one had an odd aroma, lots of earthy notes, a touch of cider, and lots of vegetal aspects as well. Some sugars and underlying sweetnotes too. Pours goldenish with a thin head. The flavor was sweet with lots of sugars and vegetal notes, lightly fruity. Just an odd beer that might have been a little too weirdly sweet for my palate.

Loved this one’s aroma--it smelled of mulled cider and Christmas, otherwise known as apples, cinnamon, ginger and a little bit of Merlot. The taste was similar, including a bit of brown sugar. Beer was a light caramel with an off-white thin head that left plenty of lacing. carruthm (1401) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAY 10, 2009
On tap at Fields for Seattle Beer Week. Poured a clear palish orange color with a creamy and lacy head. Aroma is incredibly potent and struck me of cinnamon rolls. Ginger followed as well. Taste is of moderate christmas like spices to match with a clean palate. I sat there enjoying the nose on this for a good fifteen minutes or more. Never slackened or lost potency.
