Draught Golden with orange shine; very small white rim. Faint hops, I can believe Czech, and a little fresh green leaves. Malt stays discreet; Good hoppy bitterbite, no metallic nor resiny tang. Malt again is just for backing. Light MF, "crisp" enough, specially in the aftertaste. Good pilsener, goes well with some of the food in the brewpub. harlequinn (2744) - Tacoma, Washington, USA - APR 6, 2006
This beer was a tad bit overly hopped. I have to agree with Per. This one has some flaws, sure, but alot of beers do, and I am not going to call it out on just a couple of complaints. Overall this is a very goo easy drinking pils, with a strong biscuity malt character. Some grassy hops, with a light to medium bodied mouthfeel. Not bad overall. omhper (25563) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - FEB 21, 2006
UPDATED: MAR 31, 2006 Draught at the brewpub. Clear dark golden. Sweaty fruit aroma. Dry with clean, rounded mouthfeel. Some raisiny grains.Generously hoppy with notes of mango and papaya. Salty, bitter finish with a metallic edge. It’s striking how many good American brewers that completely fails making a decent pilsener. Instead of even trying to achieve the desired malt character they throw in loads of hops, presumably in hope that noone notices the flaws. OldMrCrow (2446) - Seattle, Washington, USA - SEP 5, 2005

Pours a mid-range golden, almost clear with an amply-sized white head.
The aroma is grassy hops, a hint of lemon, and unfortunately, a swampy skunky muck. The taste is surprisingly bitter, with a blast of strong and bitter hops that, though unexpected in a pilsner, was not unpleasant. Unfortunately, the skunky murky flavor that followed was unpleasant, as is the metallic aftertaste that still remains in my mouth. As the beer warmed, the skunk got skunkier.
I’d like to like this beer, but I’ll have to try it again. This bottle just wasn’t any good. 6/3/5/3/10=2.7
Tap at Wild Ginger (the Olive Garden of Asian fusion, IMHO) in Seattle. Much, much better on tap than it was in the bottle. Entirely drinkable, enjoyable, hoppy and pretty crisp. 7/4/7/3/14 = 3.5. I’ll average them out.
Bottle: Golden, light haze, moderate white head, foamy, attractive lacing with soft carbonation. Pale grassy nose, oats, subtle mustiness. Sharp grassy flavors, fairly bitter too. A fairly nice malty backside, slightly sweet, but also a touch metallic. Moderate body and mouthfeel. Somewhat bitter finish, metallic aftertaste in the back of the throat and on the sides of the tongue. Not what I was expecting for a Pilsener. Meh...

Very good for the style. A very smooth german style pils.. not a lot of hops. I stll prefer the Urquell for the balanced hops, but this beer was very drinkable and had a nice unoffensive flavor. Not something to blow you away, but that is typical of the Pilsner style. A very nice selection. motelpogo (7704) - Plzen, CZECH REPUBLIC - DEC 14, 2004
on tap at elysian. no wonder americans don’t like pilsners. this is typically golden, lemony, too light on the saaz and very thin Mangino (1027) - Mississippi, USA - OCT 30, 2004
Pours a goldent brown with big white head. Aroma is corn and malt, citrusy notes as well. Flavor is full of malt, and bitter. Good flavor, a little thin on the palate. Very carbonated. Thanks to Indiana Red for this tasty brew IndianaRed (4937) - Boise, Idaho, USA - SEP 19, 2004
Bottle Pours a crystal clear, very light pale gold color witha very large fluffy white head and substantial lacing. Aroma is a pleasant, slightly sweet grain, bready honey smell. Flavor is crisp, bready with some maltiness, and a not very strong hops slant. Nicely balanced. Fel is light and quick, and the trailer is a slight hoppy bite. Easy going down. Not bad, for a pils. ontario102 (794) - Boise, Idaho, USA - SEP 10, 2004
pours with a large, creamy head; light amber, dull, slightly hazy body, esp. for a pils; light grapefruit and grassy hop and a touch of malty sweetness in the aroma; decebt and balanced flavor: mellow, tasty, earthy and floral, nice bitter finish; moderate body.
