DarkElf (3062) - La Jolla, California, USA - SEP 9, 2004
UPDATED: SEP 10, 2004 (22 oz bottle) A rather light flavored pilsener, which is surprising for a Pacific Northwest beer; Still, this is at least a dry, hops balanced pilsener in the PNW style, with a moderately bitter and dry finish; Fairly hoppy, and lightly malty nose; Light golden in color; Massively carbonated head when poured is off-white in color and very bubbly, and is supported by a fairly steady assault of carbonation bubbles, but as it gradually dies down, a large mesa-like formation is created by the head, and dense patches of lacing are left on the glass

[email protected] Pretty typical microbrewery pilsner, very graing and thin, with a very small amount of floral, lemony hops. Crisp, thin and short. Grainy.

Sham (1844) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAY 17, 2004
Pours a amber gold. Small white head, sparse lacing and lively carbonation. Aromas of malts, hops and a spice that I cannot put my finger on. The flavor is of malt, tangy hops; citrus maybe, some bitter, and more of the spice. Fairly smooth with a tangy bite at the end.

BückDich (5464) - McCall, Idaho, USA - MAY 15, 2004
Clear yellow/bronze, large puffy head with some lacing & moderate carbonation. The aroma has barely anything in it with a little crisp hops. The flavor is lightly malty with 2-row, not pilsner malts. Fruity like an ale with a lagerish mouthfeel. Good example of the style but a little subdued. Lots of grapefruityness.

leitrim65 (402) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAR 7, 2004
Cloudy golden color with big rocky white head. Strong floral aroma with additional hints of citrus, hops, and yeast. The flavors are an unusual citrus and yeast like. Somewhat stringent. An different sort of pilsner and just an average beer.

TimE (5811) - Tokyo, JAPAN - JAN 9, 2004
Tastes more like an American wheat, but with a more hopped finish. European hops are noticable, but not full bodied enough.

I think I like American style Pilsner like this better than European ones (Blasphemy!). Dark yellow, big white head. Plenty of hops in the nose and a crisp, authoritative finish.
