Bottle. Pale gold. Weird. Citrus, medicine, thin body, the sharp medical edge is in control. Palme (4811) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAY 12, 2014
0.33l bottle. Looks fairly OK this will help a blurry kinda pale-ish golden body and a small but both lasting and lacing egg shell white colored head. It has a clear mild smoky nose this. Soft cured beef with nuts, hay, lots of old cellared cheese, some faint yeast and a little hint of vanilla. Not mine kind of aroma (or beer genre to be honest) but it’s nice enough for what it actually is. Fresh taste. It has a surprising citric freshness that I did not expect at all! It’s almost acidic in a way. Like lemonade. The faint smokiness is definitely present in the taste as well - especially in the aftertaste. It feels a bit thin but not directly watery in the mouth and it’s gentle on the bubbles. Have to say that it was a nice little surprise this, but i still have to say that I’m no huge fan of the genre. Yet. 26.04.2014 vipinvelp (4429) - Velp, NETHERLANDS - MAY 11, 2014
Somewhat hazy golden yellow with white foam head. Little smokey aroma, mostly malts. Dry taste, little smoke, little hay, bit sour. Short sourish aftertaste. (Velp 201405) gunnar (9094) - Sandnes, NORWAY - MAY 10, 2014
Bottle from Vaaland, Bryne. Pours weak golden with a big creamy white head. Aroma of smoked bacon and malts, some seawater as well. Watery thin mouthfeel. Taste is light salty meat, very easy smoked with a salty finish, nice enough, a fine refreshment on a hot day

33cl bottle from BierNavigatie. Pale golden with a small white soapy head. Light to medium body with ditto carbonation. Medium sweetness and sourness combined with some smokeyness and bitter tones. Wheat, smoked malts, sour fruits, citrus and herbs. A very typical brew which is refreshing but the taste is a bit unbalanced.

330 ml bottle. BB 03/15. From saveur-biere.com.Bosbouw (2925) - Gemonde, NETHERLANDS - MAY 6, 2014
Slightly cloudy golden colour with a tiny white head.
Very interesting aroma of sourness, smoked sausage, mild tartness, citric notes and mild acidity.
The flavour is mild sourness, mild bitterness, citrus and mild smoky notes. Very interesting brew.
Oranjegele kleur met een volle kraag. Ruikt kruiden, zoetig, siroop. Smaakt zurig, lemon, fruitig. Apart. erickok (6037) - Leuven, BELGIUM - MAY 5, 2014
I find this an intriguing style. This one is quite golden and shiny. Quite salty, fresh fruity sourness, lactic, herbal. Acquired aroma, but that shouldn’t stop a beer nerd (geuze, anyone?). Taste is strongly different as well, lactic again and an acidity that’d different from the known beer sours. Lovely full body for the abv but I am not quite used to this taste yet. Until then I categorise this under experiment and nice to try, rather than tasty. (33cl bottle from Saveur Bière) Abijen (2571) - ’s-Hertogenbosch, NETHERLANDS - MAY 5, 2014
Pours a golden slightly unclear beer with a good white head. Smells malts, smoked, bacon. Tastes malts, little sour, smoked, ash. Weird stuff. Average carbo, thin body and a watery texture. esp0r (2921) - NORWAY - MAY 1, 2014
On tap at Cafe Sara
Golden clear, white head. Smell of smoke and sausage, tart fruits, some malts as well. Moderate sweet, a smoky touch, hints of sausage, a bit tart. Moderate bitter finish. Very interesting beer and style. It’s not like gose at all; it’s smoky and tart. Very refreshing and probably supert on a hot day. And the best thing of them all, the low abv makes this a good session
