0,33l bottle from Sörmanufaktúra, Budapest. Clear, dakr brown colod with creamy light brown head. Hoppy flavour like resin, grass and herbs. Beside that chocolate, coffee and roasted malt also appears. Medium bitter taste. Creamy texture, medium body, light carbonation. Intensive dry and bitter finish. Very nice beer, when I image a Black IPA, I image a beer like this. Well balanced, bitter enough, esspecially in the aftertaste. These hops are good choises. This hoppy flavour goes well with roasted malty flavour. SlovakSniper (5561) - Candiac, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 29, 2013
33 cl. Deo79 (2) - Cesenatico, ITALY - MAY 18, 2013 does not count
Una buona Black IPA,al palato molto intensa con un finale corto, molto bella alla vista appena sbottigliata, con una bella formazione a "cappello" della schiuma, molto densa

beige coffee coloured head that disappears quickly with lacing. coffee coloured. aroma of hop, passion fruit, roasted malts, alcoholic and also something of sulfur. after a while the fruity aroma fades completely. tastes sweet, passion fruit, roasted malts with a long strong liquorice taste and bitterness. medium carbonation and body. bottle 33 cl Pawola22 (3262) - Woodridge, Illinois, USA - MAY 12, 2013
33cl bottle from De Bierkoning in Amsterdam. Pours a cloudy, deep brown, almost black colored body with a finger-width, frothy, tan head that dissipates quickly and leaves a light lacing. Aroma is sweeter, bready caramels and toffees with some roasts, juicier oranges and grapefruits with a few pine resins, some dark fruits, and touches of licorice. Flavor is similar. Fairly malty sweet with lots of caramels and toffee bread, but pretty bitter throughout. Dry, earthy pines with some roast as well as citrus, some dark fruits, and a few esters. Finishes dry, roasty, and pretty bitter with a good amount of citrus before leaving a lengthy aftertaste. Medium body and a moderate carbonation. Overall, a decent Black IPA. Fairly malty sweet, but pretty bitter and citrusy as well. Not bad.

330 ml long neck bottle, poured into a tulip glass at home. ABV 8%.
Very dark brown colour while it pours, almost black while is sitting in the glass. Two full fingers of beige head, thick and soapy, with very good retention and heavy lacing left around the glass.
Very nice aroma, with light roastiness and subtle chocolate notes, plus a notable cognaq aroma.
Taste is mildly bitter at first, again with a light cognaq and chocolate flavour. Becomes more bitter on the aftertaste, with a medium lasting finish.
Great body, very thick and full, good carbonation. Smooth on the palate. Alcohol gives a warming feeling.
A truly great beer.

Svart med medium skum. Rostad, chocklad aroma, kanske en "efter hint" av grapefrukt. Söt smak som senare övergår i en viss beska. tcane7 (1674) - Pennsylvania, USA - APR 25, 2013
Draft at Alla Spina. Pours a deep brown, near black, with good off-white head. Nose of grapefruit, tangerine, roasted malt, chocolate. Average mouthfeel and bitterness.

Small beige head. Clear barely translucent deep dark brown body
with light carbonation. Roasty earthy chocolatey aroma with
toffee notes. Dry-sweet roasty chocolatey soy sauce taste with
earthy licorice and toffee notes. Full-bodied. Mild, soft,
smooth mouthfeel. Dryish earthy roasty burnt grain aftertaste
with perfumy chocolatey soy sauce notes. Black IPA? More like a
really good imperial stout. Whatever, it’s a very good beer
anyway. Clean, clear, and vivid. (0.33l bottle, wine monopoly,

Bottle. Black. Dark chocolate, piney-, slight earthy, hops, and good malts. Pretty good aroma, feels very well balanced, inviting. Body is super smooth and surprisingly thick. But well bittered, with an excellent chocolate, roasty hoppy palate. Quite an excellent BIPA. Great body, harmonous flavours.
This *is* a bottle that surpised me with its presence while making room in the fermentation fridge, and as I’m having problems comprehending the logic of the BBE markings, there’s a good possibility of this being old, and thus short on the nose. But even so, a really good brew.
