mjs (7470) - Helsinki, FINLAND - NOV 22, 2012
(Draught at Pikkulintu, 20121122) The beer poured almost black. Its head was lightly brown. Aroma had hops, roasted malts and mildly ash. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were hops, pine, roasted malts, burnt malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was roasty, hoppy and bitter. If they don’t want to call this one a stout they should make this less roasty.

Botella. 2012. Deep dark brown colour, nice beige steady creamish head. Pleasant aroma of fruity hops, dark malts, caramel and some dark fruit. Good mouthfeel. Pleasant deep dark malty close to roasty flavour with caramel, dark fruit and a pleasant above medium bitterness.

jmgreenuk (9530) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - NOV 8, 2012
Bottle at Huppel the Pub, Den Haag. Dark mahogany pour with a thin tan head and broken lace. Peaty aroma leading to a huge liquorice spicy malty bitter flavour. The bitterness hits the palate and stays there. Another Emelisse classic.

RichTheVillan (7919) - Birmingham, West Midlands, ENGLAND - NOV 7, 2012
Bottle from Stirchley Wines; I don’t get it really I’ve had a few BIPA’s now, some I think yep nice fresh hop bite that links it to an IPA. But this tastes like a decent impy stout. Pours dark black, coffee & malt aroma which is also in the taste.

angelkostvo (1234) - CZECH REPUBLIC - OCT 30, 2012
Black color with nice off white head. Aroma of coffee, milk, chocolate, cream. Taste is coffee but there is something sweet in the begging that I cant put my finger on, aftertaste is quite bitter but in a nice way coffee like. Overall is different then my expectations but it’s nice I like it.

stefannilssons (1580) - SWEDEN - OCT 24, 2012
Det här var en intressant öl med en spretig och komplex smak. Smaken präglas främst av malten och jästen, för att vara en ipa hamnar humlen lite väl mycket i skymundan. Men den var rätt god ändå.
