Fairly high bitterness, very little roast in the flavor. Rather dry.

Black. Heavy spicy and piney hop aroma. Full malty flavour with some roasted character in addition to the hops. Liquorice notes. Sweet taste with medium bitterness. Full-bodied, with a soft texture. Overall, a great black IPA. I love IPAs with a malt character that matches the hops. This is bordering on a very hoppy stout. Ulysse (539) - Brussels, BELGIUM - JUL 16, 2016
Bread dough yeast whiff or of the bottle. Aroma in the glass is sweet and olive like. Almost no head. First in the mouth is sweet and alcoholic. Felt like a barley wine. Middle is bitter but not over the top. Roasting is last and lasting. Overall is rather rich and full on.

Bottle at home. Pours dark brown, beige head. Nose is sweetish liquorice, hops, roast, chocolate. Tastes very bitter, grapefruit, liquorice, roadted malts. Dryish bitter finish. ArtificialCyst (1406) - Szczecin, POLAND - MAY 18, 2016
Aroma: Quite stoutish aroma - coffee and chocolate, some hoppy notes also - resinous and citrusy. Appearance: Medium-sized creamy head, black liquid. Taste: Also quite stoutish, strong roastiness, coffee notes, some floral and citrus tastes (although quite weak), quite strong grapefruity biterness - very good quality, doesn’t linger at all, very quick. Palate: Body is medium-high, finish is dry, carbonation is low. As a BIPA should be less stoutish.
