At Borefts BF 2010. Recommended by an American couple who were at the fest. Touch of TCP peat on an otherwise unremarkable aroma. Some toffee. Pretty good in mouth. Touch sweet. BA is pretty soft and done to a good level. Decent, if too sweet. Christian (13680) - Odense, DENMARK - DEC 21, 2010
Dark brown with a small off-white head. Bowmore dominates the aroma with weaker notes of fruit and malt. Sweet and fruity flavour with over-powering Bowmore character and some alcohol. KimJohansen (10509) - Frederiksberg C, DENMARK - DEC 11, 2010
Clear mahogany with a small beige head. Smoked aroma with hard roasted malt, hops, wood and coffee. Very dry flavor with hard roasted malt, plenty of hops, smoke from the peated malt, liquerice, whiskey, and espresso. Finished dry, bitter and smoked. What a lovely blend. Seriously love it. Perfect mans beer! Ungstrup (37889) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - NOV 24, 2010
Bottled. A deep red beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, wood, iodine, whiskey, and peated smoke. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, wood, iodine, and peated smoke, leading to a dry finish where the iodine note lingers. Pinball (12167) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - NOV 17, 2010

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a clear orangey brown with a small beige head. The nose has some peat and iodine. Solid body, some hard roast malts and ashes, quite peaty with a rather bitter finish - but the distinct hoppiness from the Triple IPA part is pretty much drowned in the Bowmore barrel. A man beer indeed! Not exactly your everyday Black & Tan... 171110 MesandSim (7117) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 13, 2010
A Mes rate. Bottle thanks very kindly to Edo.Deep dark red brown colour with a thin but lasting beige head. This is excellent stuff all round. These guys continue to get better each time I try something from them. A good bitter fronted base beer with an assertive Islay whisky character. Excellent salt and seaweed with a hint of coffee and crisp hops. Excellent bitter and slightly sour finish. Just a tiny bit thin but it still feels enjoyably creamy. Excellent beer. stobbe74 (3789) - DENMARK - NOV 10, 2010
Sample at Borefts Beer Festival 2010. Pours a dark brown beer with a weak head. The aroma is roasted, malt, coffee, chocolate, wood and some hops. The flavor is roasted, spices and alcohol. The palate is sweetness and some alcoholwarmth. Overall a good beer. sfhodense (4788) - Odense NØ, DENMARK - NOV 2, 2010
Pours dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, alcohol, chocolate, whiskey, oak and vanilla. Flavour is roasted malt, sweet, chocolate, alcohol, oak and vanilla. JorisPPattyn (10026) - Ursel, BELGIUM - OCT 30, 2010
Nearly no head over deepbrown beer. Restrained, but very promising C-hops nose, with grapefruit and lytchee, rosewater. Aroma of steamed jasmine rice, and just a hint at whisky and alcohol. Peat, grapefruit-flavoured hops, liquorice, wood and orangemarmalade with near all the sweetness knocked out. Again this jasmine - this time like jasmine tea. Alcohol comes out in the aftertaste, whilst the whisky(barrel) flavours are even more in retard mode, but keep lingering around in the joris’ oral cavity. Exotic spices to crown it all. Long lasting aftertaste, medium to well-bodied, alcoholwarming to some extent. Maybe their best so far. I’m impressed and intrigued by the jasmine.
