Rubyish brown colour, small beige head, that leaves a bunch of lace. Aroma is fruits, mild toasted notes, liquorice, some whisky as well as mild vanilla. Flavour is wood, vanilla, some whisky, peat, fruits and mild smoked wooden notes. Quite balanced hoppy and smoky thing.

24th September 2010. Borefts Beer Festival. Papsoe (25060) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - NOV 17, 2010
Light soft palate. Dark brown beer. Residual tan head. Rich dark malt, sweetish peat and unsweet dark chocolate. Some well balanced hops coming to the fore in the finish. Nice.
Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a clear orangey brown with a small beige head. The nose has some peat and iodine. Solid body, some hard roast malts and ashes, quite peaty with a rather bitter finish - but the distinct hoppiness from the Triple IPA part is pretty much drowned in the Bowmore barrel. A man beer indeed! Not exactly your everyday Black & Tan... 171110
