Emelisse Blond is a soft and malty artisinal beer. The colour green stands for the American Cascade hop used. This gives it a hoppy and herbal flavour.

Clear amber colour with a 3-4 finger head that won’t last too long. Smells like fresh-cut grass and some Belgian yeast, along with feint bitter hops. The taste is a bit more intense (read: hoppy) than what you’d expect from the smell, with nice citrus and tropical fruit notes on top of a sweet malty base.

Bottle 33cl. Yellow gold, bit hazy with some Co2 visible. Big off white head. Aroma of dry hops and malts with fruit hints. The taste is surprisingly bitter for a blond style beer. It reminds me of IPA. Still not bad at all!

33 cl bottle at home. Pours golden blond with medium off-white head. Aroma: cereal, marzipan. Taste: medium sweetness with medium bitterness. Finish is hoppy. Notes of yeast. Texture is slick. Carbonation is average.

Medium aroma of malts, caramel, orange, tropical fruit, pine, hops and citrus.

Turbid/opaque golden/amber beer with medium yeast and with a slight/medium off-white/beige head.

Starts medium sweet with malts, caramel, orange and tropical fruit; ends slightly bitter and dry with hops and citrus.

This beer is rather intense and balanced. Could have been more complex, have more depth and thus more character.

330 ml bottle. Unclear orange body with a small white head. Aroma is a bit mature citric fruit, pale malt and hint of cat pee. Flavor is medium sweet pale malt, mild citric and tropical fruit, slightly spicy and medium bitterness. Medium body and a bit light in aftertaste. I suspect this is a bit old to provide full justice of this beer, but still within the best before date.

Delft 28-11-2015 Doerak Super fris! Mooie oranje kleur met fijne schuimkraag. Smaakt lekker fris en is licht bitter. Heeft alleen vrij weinig aroma/smaak, springt niet echt iets uit. Smaakt licht naar citroen/sinaasappel.

On tap. Golden color, clear liquid, white head. Tastes like trippel mixed with IPA. Aroma is earthy malty in the beginning and fading into fruity hoppy bitter finish. Interesting brew.

Een zeer lekker bier, een prima smaak en een typische IPA. Weinig schuimkraag.
