Emelisse Blond is a soft and malty artisinal beer. The colour green stands for the American Cascade hop used. This gives it a hoppy and herbal flavour.

Bottle 33cl. Slightly hazy pale amber, large frothy off-white head, slowly diminishing, good lacing; very fruity aroma, grapefruit, orange peel, spruce, grass; taste is medium bitter and light sweet, fruity, malt notes, with long duration; medium body, oily texture, average carbonation, aftertaste is mild bittersweet, spicy notes, bit tame; bitterness to subdued to call it a proper IPA thus imo it is a well-made and pleasant Bitter.

mariuspoenari (2989) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - DEC 13, 2015
Clear amber colour with a 3-4 finger head that won’t last too long. Smells like fresh-cut grass and some Belgian yeast, along with feint bitter hops. The taste is a bit more intense (read: hoppy) than what you’d expect from the smell, with nice citrus and tropical fruit notes on top of a sweet malty base.

Bottle 33cl. Yellow gold, bit hazy with some Co2 visible. Big off white head. Aroma of dry hops and malts with fruit hints. The taste is surprisingly bitter for a blond style beer. It reminds me of IPA. Still not bad at all!

Medium aroma of malts, caramel, orange, tropical fruit, pine, hops and citrus.

Turbid/opaque golden/amber beer with medium yeast and with a slight/medium off-white/beige head.

Starts medium sweet with malts, caramel, orange and tropical fruit; ends slightly bitter and dry with hops and citrus.

This beer is rather intense and balanced. Could have been more complex, have more depth and thus more character.

Beer5000 (6736) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - DEC 2, 2015
330 ml bottle. Unclear orange body with a small white head. Aroma is a bit mature citric fruit, pale malt and hint of cat pee. Flavor is medium sweet pale malt, mild citric and tropical fruit, slightly spicy and medium bitterness. Medium body and a bit light in aftertaste. I suspect this is a bit old to provide full justice of this beer, but still within the best before date.

sjogro (4755) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - NOV 30, 2015
Sweet, spicy and yeasty with aromatic hops. Bitter and malty smooth spicy blond. Comfortable drinker. Backlog from 2014/03/08.
