3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Borefts 2013. Poured dark amber with a small tan head. Aroma of sweet chocolate, caramel malt. Medium body, flavour as the aroma. No sign of the brett.
From tap at Kaapse Brouwers. A very weird mix of very nice flavors. Backlog from 2014/10/24. Maakun (6142) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - OCT 24, 2014
Tap at Kaapse Brouwers. Very dark brown with minimal head. Lots of honey and spices, sugar, vanilla, cream, herb candy, light sour black currant and blueberry. Really sweet. Really weird stuff but actually not bad. skortila (5967) - Baarn, NETHERLANDS - JUL 14, 2014
On tap @ Kaapse festival. 10cl sample. The aroma just has a lot of honey, some roast and vanilla. But mainly honey. Dark brown coloured beer with a thin, off-white head. The taste is very sweet, has caramel, some roast and quite some honey. Decent dessert beer. MarcoDL (5138) - NETHERLANDS - JUL 6, 2014
Porter with brett and with honey. Bit too much honey for my taste. The first sips are nice, but after that it’s hard to digest. The vanilla is nice, but the honey is a bit too dominant. Christian (13759) - Odense, DENMARK - MAY 12, 2014
At Borefts Beer Festival 2013. Black with a lasting off-white head. Aroma of toffee and chocolate with vanilla notes. Sweet milk chocolate flavour with alcohol and roasted notes in the finish

Draft @ Borefts. Aroma is chocolate, roast, molasses and faint brett. Flavour is light tart chocolate malt. Not much else. Too dry and empty imho. fonefan (50004) - VestJylland, DENMARK - APR 9, 2014

Draught @ 5th Borefts Beer Festival 2013, Brouwerij de Molen, Bodegraven, Netherlands.
Clear dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, chocolate, sweet malt, honey, vanilla. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, sweet malt, honey, wood - acrid bitter, light leather - wood dry. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic.
On tap @ Borefts 2013. It’s as good as black in the glass this one, and it had a nice medium sized lacing dark beige top. On the nose I get a sweet licorice tone along with a little bit of acidity. It’s much more sweet than sour on the nose. Also a trace of chocolate paper. It’s really really confectionery chocolate infused in the taste. About average on the near creamy carbonation and we’ll thick and oily in the mouth. Lots of chocolate and dark coffee in the taste also. Surprisingly sweet and the dark confectionary chocolate lingers for a long time in the aftertaste. I kinda like this even if it’s definitely on the sweet side of the porterscale this. 28.09.2013 Martinus (4685) - Baarle-Nassau, NETHERLANDS - OCT 31, 2013
Black colour, no head. Aroma of honey, lots of vanilla, bourbon, light wood. Woody flavour, vanilla, chocolate, light astringent. Finish wood and chocolate. Nice!

UPDATED: FEB 22, 2014 28.09.2013, tap @ Borefts:
Small creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly neutral, dark malts, cocoa, hay, coffee, puffed rice, unripe banana, hints of sulfur maybe. Taste is sweet, dark malts, dark sugar, mocha, caramel, puffed rice, unripe banana, hints of burnt coffee. Medium bitterness, thin body. Fair enough, just too sweet.
