Bottle. Pours hazy dark copper brown with airy but stable light tan head. Clear aroma of caramel malt, coffee and fruit. Sweetish flavour of caramel, malt and fruit, with pleasant, bitter notes of coffee beans and hops, ending rather dry and rough. Discernible alcohol presence. Nice. Neither too sweet nor sour. A decent Dubbel, that’s it.

Bonne couleur brune. Odeur d’alcool assez forte ce qui gêne pour une brune. Au palais note de caramel et malt grillé amertume faible Une bonne bière mais pas mémorable

33cl in a Delirium Tremens glass. Pours a hazy brown colour with a moderate beige head. Nicely proportioned flavours with distinctly Belgian tone. Classy and understated flavours - more comparable to Wetsmalle dubbel than Prior 8.

Hazy mahogany with small tan head. Looks great! Caramel, dried fruits, some citrus, cocoa beans and a hint of spices. Medium sweet with big cocoa bitterness. Medium bodied, lively carbonation, long slightly bitter finish. Hmm, not bad at all, like how it has the classic dubbel taste but is not too sweet.

Bottle from Glug, Newcastle. This hazy dark brown beer has a spicy red fruity and chocolate flavours, leather notes and more sweet fruit and a slight roasted finish.

UPDATED: JUL 18, 2015 Pours a hazy dark brown colour with an off-white head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, coffee, yeast, dark dried fruits. Flavour is caramel, sugary sweetness. Nice Dubbel.

Braunes Dubbel mit mittelprächtig viel Schaum. Hefiges Kandiszuckeraroma. Im Geschmack kommt nicht wirklich viel hinzu, etwas Würze und sanft bitterer Nachklang. Simpel, langweilig und das Geld nicht wert.

This style is usually not very special, but considering this, it’s a good beer. Malty and spicey.

Dark amber with a thick beige, lacy, disappearing head. Smells of deep caramel malt with alcohol and some dried fruit. Liquorish. Medium thin body with soft carbonation. Sweet dark caramel flavour with a dried fruit and some light coffee roast hints. Mild and drinkable bit nothing offensive. I enjoyed it
