UPDATED: JAN 15, 2016 Ruikt zoet.

Thanks bierkoning! Hazy ruby color, steady beige head. Toffeish, vegetably grassy aroma. Medium-bodied. Caramel, sweetness, some alcohol, late grassy bitterness. Simple and sweet.

UPDATED: NOV 7, 2013 Bottle. Brown hazelnut color. Dark fruity nose. Plums and figs, yeasty characters. Some chocolate. Full bodied, smooth. Belgian yeasty notes, overripe fruits, dark caramel, candi pudding. Not as clean malty as I was hoping, some estery things that seem to do better in a weizenbock. But nice, of course, smooth etc.

Tap at the brewery 30/8/13. Aroma is rich malt, raisin, grainstore. Hazed brown colour with a steadfast, light cream head. Flavour is smooth and malty raisin cake, and bread. Finish is earthy, semi-sweet. Very nice.

Bottle from the brewery. Poured a hazy murky brown colour with a bubbly off-white head. The aroma is yeast and roasted malt. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with liqourice, malt, yeast and a little red-berry fruitiness on the smooth and refreshing palate. This is almost up there with Westmalle for me. Not quite, but not so far away.
