Richiama chiaramente lo stile di abazia, pur mantenedo il carattere e la luppolatura che contraddistinguono questo fantastico birrificio. flip_soeperman (880) - NETHERLANDS - AUG 10, 2013
A watery and not too impressive dubbel. Aroma of yeast and molasses. It was very straightforward in a boring manner. Maybe this was because in the tasting menu we received this after the triple ipa. Strange for a brewpub

UPDATED: FEB 11, 2017 Caramel kleur met een volle schuimkraag. Zoete, caramel en mout geur. Smaakt niet zo sterk en beetje waterig. Christos (5696) - Arnhem, NETHERLANDS - JUL 25, 2013
Bottle, 330 ml, at home. Into a tulip glass. ABV 7.5%
Brownish red colour on the body, two fingers of off-white head sitting on top. Good retention and even better after it collapses to one third of its initial size. Medium lacing left on the glass.
Nice arom with chocolate and light caramel notes.
Intense chocolate on the taste as well. Lightly sweet at first with a bit of sourness crawling underneath, it turns to a nice bitterness with medium duration and aquires some tasty coffee notes as well.
Medium thick body, fairly dry on the palate. Good carbonation.
Another good beer from Emelisse, after the disappointing witbier I had from them this afternoon. Braastad (459) - FINLAND - JUL 2, 2013
Hazy dark brown with lots of particles
Caramalt aroma like that of a dark lager.
Flavor is soft, bready and caramel malt.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours light brown in color with a small head. Has a nice roasted touch in aroma, some light
nuttyness and chocolate notes as well. Chocolate, dark dried fruits and light vinous notes in taste.
Feels rather soft, which is nice. A bit of vinous notes, yeasty spicyness and chocolate in aftertaste.
Quite tasty overall and easy to drink.

weird brownish unclear liquid, light whitish head quickly disappears... aroma has some of dark malts, and something medicinal in the back... balanced sweet bitter taste, nice dark finish, medium bodied, somewhat oily... it’s reminds me of a dark belgian trappist, but lighter and slightly less complex... very good dubbel though... (very well hidden alcohol!)... low on carbs... Thomasalias (320) - Budapest, HUNGARY - MAY 29, 2013
0,33l bottle from Sörmanufaktúra, Budapest. Cloudy, dark brown color with medium pillowy head. Peanut and walnut odor. Yeast, malt, bread, apple and plum flavour. Light sweet taste. Creamy texture, medium body, light carbonation. Yeasty, malty finish. Very delicios dark beer with nice flavours based on the yeast and the malt. It has that Belgian feeling, but I think it should be more intensive. Abijen (2571) - ’s-Hertogenbosch, NETHERLANDS - APR 27, 2013
Pours a nice brown amber beer with a good white head. Smells a bit caramel, a bit coffee. Malts. The taste is nice. Chocolate and coffee. Good palate. Lore (2671) - Budapest, HUNGARY - APR 26, 2013
brown colour, moderate brownish head; aroma of malts with honey, yeast and dried fruits; taste of malty sweetness with some honey, roasted bitterness, spices and alcoholic warmth; not bad, bud far from the best dubbels
